Not a safe mall after evening for a women. I had a terrible experience a few years back. I went there for some urgent shopping to attend a wedding program. At upper floors may be 4 or 5 there was several readymade garments shop for women . I wanted to buy one salower kamiz suit. I tried to choose some but all of them was oversized then suddenly the seller who is a elder person with beard came to me with a measuring tape and tried to touch me. I insisted that it's not necessary. I will buy from somewhere else. Other sellers from different shops are watching the fun and making side comments. Suddenly I realize other shops are empty, no customer though there was some women on this floor before. I never went there from that trauma.

Sunrise plaza is a nice place. But the food in the restaurant is a bit costly in proportion to it's quality and quantity. The place is not crowded like other shopping mall in Dhaka city.

This college was established on 7 May 1968, by a group of enthusiastic and dynamic people. Then it was named ‘Jinnah College’. In the turbulent days of Non Co-operation Movement on 3 March 1971, this college was named after the name of Shahid Titumir, erasing the name of Jinnah. This was done on the eve of the meeting of Maolana Vashani and Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Paltan Maidan. It was led by the important central member of “the Student Action Committee” and student of this College Colonel Md. Abdus Salam (Rtd), Bir Pratik accompanied by some other students. It is obviously very significant to name the college after the name of a brave and dedicated leader during the turbulent hours of our great struggle for liberation.
