This is my first time staying at Soco and I must say, I am highly impressed, the friendly accommodating staff makes being here such a pleasure. A big shout out to all the staff. The food is here is amazingly delicious, everything is made fresh to order from local grown produce..I would definitely recommend this place.
I liked it here. Great location on the south side of the island. Amazing views. Semi private beach away from the larger hotels. Friendly staff. Food was pretty good for being all-inclusive. Wait staff was friendly and respectful, but slower than we are accustomed to in the States.
The overall aesthetics was the biggest downside to this hotel. Apparently, the salt spray causes a lot of problems for them there. Any thing that's metal gets rusty. There was a random rusty bracket in the shower. The waste basket was rusty. They had paint peeling outside and rusty water was pooling inside if the paint and making bubbles that would drip water consistently day and night. The air conditioning worked, but not really well.
All that being said, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while staying in Barbados. Michelle, Vanity, Joycelynn, and the rest of the staff always did anything they could meet our requests. Michelle helped us get everything booked for doing different thikngs around the island. Vanity made a point to surprise my wife with a big decoration on our bed the one day congratulating us on being pregnant. Kitchen staff would even make us food after the normal operating hours. Overall, we had a great time on the island and look forward to going back in the future.
The food is advertised as all-inclusive but the portions are small and if you ask for something extra the server catches an attitude. The FAT server who looks like she is not use to working for a living and is angry to be there to begin with. I waited over an hour for her to come over to my table. I was on vacation and made to feel like I can inconveniencing them. Needless to say but I do not recommend this place.
The Food alone is a reason to stay.
The Soco hotel is a all adult hotel that is very personal by having only 24 rooms. Like i said the food alone is incredible, the staff were so nice the room was clean and the room view of the ocean is so beautiful.
The Soco Hotel in Barbados was Great! Located right on the water, the view was stunning. The friendly staff made the stay very pleasant and enjoyable. An all inclusive, adults only, with great food and fantastic drinks. The room could have been a little bigger, but outside was where it was happening!
This place is Amazing! Steps from an beautiful beach and boardwalk. This boutique hotel has twenty-four rooms the consensus of the guests that I spoke with commented that they wouldn’t mind returning. The food is prepared, plated and served with pride and is first rate. Special shout out to Vanity, Melissa, Romel, Michael and Ariel of the staff, who made our time at Soco memorable.
Honestly I have been in Barbados for four days and staying at the Soco Hotel. 2 out of 4 evening your meals are exceptional (From fresh grill red snapper to curry lamb). I am predicting if you continue to work hard on your craft Latoya and add to your flavor profile (volunteer at the local Chinese, Greek resto), you will be the next top chef in Barbados.
Quiet and personal - meals made fresh every time. Brilliant cocktails and warm staff. Super room, relaxing and always clean with perfect ocean views.
Comfortable, cozy, contemporary room; knowledgeable, friendly staff, delicious, 5-star meals, relaxing amenities, convenient location
Very clean hotel with great rooms. Hotel very friendly and accommodating. The part of the beach where the hotel was located was an excellent location. The amenities weren't exactly what I imagined to be, but it was a great stay.
This hotel was hard to find since the sign for it wasn't easy to find but it's a nice small boutique all inclusive adults only hotel! Check in was quick and the bellboy named Omar was nice and helped me bring my suitcase to my room and gave me details on where everything was in the hotel and what to do in Barbados! The hotel is very small but I loved it and my room was clean and nice and had a perfect ocean view! Only complaint was I had no hot water when I took a shower! I love the free wifi and I could walk right down to the beach! I would stay here again if I come back to Barbados!
Great service
beautiful beach
adults only
We booked our stay at The Soco Hotel for a winter getaway, and after research decided to have our wedding here too! Our wedding was BEAUTIFUL, despite some minor hiccups in the process. This was the first wedding since new management had taken over, which was slightly unsettling when giving someone else full control of a special day. However, Ms.Rayside did a FANTASTIC job with getting an amazing team of individuals together. The hotel was very beautiful with all rooms facing the ocean and very relaxing. I would suggest this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. I know we will never forget our time here!
Excuse the delay for posting this review. My stay there was an extraordinary experience, even though its brevity. It was almost as if I was a family member returning home for a moment (I had business to transact). The accommodations were superb, and the food and its preparation were the icing on the cake. And Michele. Little wonderful Michele. I happen to mention that my B-day was coming, and just before I left I received a card wishing me health, wealth, and love. My wife was amazed at the thoughtfulness! I look forward to returning soon or as it is said," Soon Come"
Small beautiful Botique hotel
Natasha greeted us with fruit punch and the porter brought our bags to the room and came back and showed us around the room. The food was good (dinner bread needed more seasoning - should use pepper). We came back from a tour around 3 pm and missed lunch, however there is tea time around 330 pm which included sandwiches and cookies which was a perfect snack until dinner. We were used to buffet but enjoyed the freshness of the food. Michelle was great - we did a tour called treasure of barbados and it was great. The boardwalk is nice to walk on, you can go down the street without the hassle of being on the street.
