I stayed at both Barbados and Royal Barbados. Both we're great! Different in style but not lacking in luxury. We had a fantastic time and we will definitely return. Sean at the donut shop, Cherie in the gift store, waitresses, drinks, food, etc.
Thank you for the service and hospitality!! 😎

After getting home from the fiasco that was fyre festival, I never thought my future vacations could get that low. Proved wrong today as I arrived at sandal, the accommodation is such low quality, staff very difficult to deal with, not how anyone should spend their Christmas holiday.

Barbados is a beautiful country, wonderful place to visit. However when you choose to visit do not have you vacation ruined by sandals, the service and rooms are awful, unfortunately has been such a waste money! We are moving to a new resort tomorrow to have suitable location for our family vacation

Beautiful resort, plenty of food options, good entertainment, clean beach. Consistently great weather 85 degrees and sunny every day in mid November. Short distance from the airport. Only bummer was we had a leak above the door in our room that got to be a puddle on the floor and we mentioned it twice to customer service yet it was never fixed during our week long stay and we weren’t moved rooms.

Sandals is a great place to go if you plan on spending all of your time at the resort. The concept of sandals is great until you understand the logic of it all. For example when you have thousands of guests and only have about 16 places to eat, the wait time can sometimes be excruciating. This was our second time at a Sandals Resort and learning from the first time we tried to take advantage of the butler suites which turned out to be more of a hassle than it was worth. A lot of the times when we called for the butler we got more excuses than results for simple tasks such as bringing us food to the room. Don't get me wrong in isolated situations it was convenient. I would highly recommend not getting a butler Suite if you plan on venturing outside of the resort. The main reason why I am giving it a 2 star rating is due to its lack of organization. Upon check-in it took us a little over 2 hours to get everything situated because their systems were down and our Butler insisted on getting everything done, so she sat in the room with us while we were tired from our flight waiting for her manager to call her back. I know it doesn't sound so bad but after a long flight it was very frustrating. Upon checking out they forgot our bags at the resort when they transported us to the airport. We almost missed our flight and my wife sprained her ankle trying to run to the gate. We did not enjoy sandals the first time and we didn't enjoy it the second time either, so needless to say we will not be staying at another Sandals Resort.

Very dictatorial management. Sun beds very uncomfortable. If you like a cigarette or cigar after your meal, forget it. Smokers are treated like second class citizens. Most restaurants are good but some have very slow service. All in all 6 out of 10

We spent a week at Sandals Barbados. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. Our room was very nice and clean. Pools where great. Many restaurants to choose from. Food was good. And the beach was fantastic. Also, Sandals has another resort right next door (not sure of the name) that you have access to all the restaurants, pool and beach.

We have been twice, with plans to return in the fall. Thoroughly enjoyable, from the variety of food and drink, and excursions available, to the social events offered and the courtesy of the staff members. It's one of our favorite locations! Staff help make you feel luxurious, regardless of what level of room you book.

Tip: if you love it like we did, and want to explore more Sandals locations (or return to Barbados!), make sure to book on-site before you leave for an extra discount. Veterans and first responders also receive a discount! And if you're honeymooning, send them a copy of your wedding invite for a free breakfast delivered to your room one morning during your stay.

Food was excellent. Resort was excellent. Service was excellent!!! However there are things I didn't like such. Spent nearly $8000 and I still was not allowed to have a stocked fridge with beer. I was also not allowed to order room service which I find ridiculous. I know its for some people but the music and games they play at the pools is annoying. Spent all my time at the beach to get away from it. Would I go back to Barbados, yes. Would I go back to Sandals, I'm not sure

Great Resort! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Shane went above and beyond to serve great cocktails, place our lunch order at Neptunes, and alert us that lunch was ready while we cooled off in the infinity pool. After missing our dinner reservation, the manager not only walked us to the Tavern so we could get a late night dinner but made us dinner reservations at the roof top for the following night. Outstanding service!

A very happy place. A bit like a combination of Slimmers' World and AA taking a holiday together and determined to enjoy themselves. Beautiful grounds, pools and beach. Food very average and customer service poor.

A very nice Sandals. We went at Xmas. Because they just opened the Sandals next door the premium service was spread between the two. Still great beach and pretty good food (for has definitely stepped up in the past few years in our opinion) But this one needs some time to fill out premium butler training.

Service is extremely friendly but food comes out slow. Dress codes for dinner are unnecessary and inconvenient. Hard to find a good meal between open times. Great atmosphere, great staff, good food. The staff is what really made me love this place.

We are still here. Room 1713. All of our meals have been fabulous. Drinks are great too. Most of the staff is pleasant. Check-in was hellacious. That's why I cannot give it 5 stars. Once a concierge staff member decides they don't like you, you become invisible & obsolete. We are Emerald Level but felt like street walk e're upon arrival. Not even offered a glass of water. So unlike Sandals

As a returning long time Sandals guest, there was no recognition what so ever. Staff at front desk are very rude, especially the manager as she completely started an argument with me and my wife. Great first impression, this is a black eye for the Sandals brand. The staff here is what makes the resort bad, very sad. Nice beach. Would not recommend, there much better Sandal resorts else where. This does not meet the Sandals standards, as you can see from the many other reviews. We should of read the reviews, just assumed since it was Sandals this would not be an issue. Oh well, back to Jamaica next time.

General Manager is very experienced, but his staff leaves a lot to be desired. The night manager argued vehemently with me when checking in, about which payment card I was allowed to use. My companion, a Colombian corporate attorney who speaks little English, made the point to tell me she understood what I said, and the hotel rep was wrong. The only all inclusive I have been to where room service is not included (comparing Iberostar, Secrets, Melia). The property is beautiful, small, but the garden is well manicured.

Great food good people and amazing beach but the construction noise was unbearable starts at daylight around 6am and goes til around 10 at night. Don’t get a round anywhere in Caribbean Village it’s next to all the construction until it’s ocer with. Just my advice not trying to put sandals down but if your going to drop 5000 on a room you want to be able to relax in your room and enjoy it in peace.

Just recently stayed at this sandals. Food was good but the friendly service was mixed. I feel it was fake with some staff. This one lady names keshia was so rude. I was completely ignored like I wasn't even there. She was fixing the coffee machine. Wouldn't make eye contact. The resort did two chemical sprays while guests were walking right throw the toxic fog. Which I found disturbing especially the one at 6pm when the fine restaurants open. Please retrain staff on hospitality and property management on exposing guest of chemicals.

I love this place. The staff was amazing and attentive . The room we were in was the ocean front 3rd floor club levels(great beach and pool view)The beach was gorgeous, tho the water was a little rough and it drop down in a short distance.
Over all we would definitely come back when the new construction is complete.

Fantastic resort with a beautiful beach and well maintained pool. Plenty of casual and upscale food options are available. Restaurant staff were very accommodating and attentive, even asking about food allergies prior to ordering meals. Vegetarian options were available at each restaurant for those with special diets. Fresh fruit and vegetables were plentiful throughout our trip as well.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There were times I don't know how they managed to be as accommodating as they were! If you're not respectful of the fact you're a visitor in their Bajan community, just stay home. Otherwise, you'll meet some amazing and wonderful people!

I loved the experience, the food, the people, the beach and most of all the relaxed atmosphere. It's an ideal destination for a relaxed, getaway style vacation.

We stayed here in July 2017
Below satisfactory Service we were celebrating on 20th wedding anniversary. Sandals Barbados is a POOR example of their brand. our room had mold in is , the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. There were pubic hairs on our toilet when we arrived. I have pics to prove both. And we were in a Club level room a swim-up suite. The bed was hard, misquotes were HORRIBLE & we had to get our fogged while staying there. The list goes on and on Staff was RUDE act as if you were bothering them if you asked or requested some type of service. To give them 1 star is generous they need a FEW NEGATIVE stars.

Whats not to like about this place. Great food, excellent scenery and even nicer people. Everything we wanted and more. Sandals is the go to destination from now. Whats even more amazing and exciting is that this sandals is the smallest in the chain of resorts. Cant wait for the next adventure. A++!

I love this place. The food is great. The service is 90% outstanding. There are a few having off days or just hate working in hospitality. I don't blame them. Room is fixed up 2 times a day. Always have clean towels.

The room was amazing and very private. We stayed at the crystal lagoon area as opposed to the ocean front / main pool area. Room service was phenomenal as well as the restaurants. The ocean was very active which made playing in the waves alot of fun. The only downside was the construction near to our room because they are expanding.

If you like the staff to say hello , have a genuine smile and to be spoiled rotten then you will enjoy it here. Being on the south coast the sea isn't quite as calm as it is on the west.

This was our first Sandals although we have been to many other all-inclusive resorts. I hope that this resort is not representative of other Sandals, as we found it to be a huge disappointment. Although the beach, grounds and landscaping were beautiful, that is where the positives end. The service was simply terrible. The breakfast and lunch choices were extremely limited (although they boast eleven restaurant choices - most of them are only open for dinner). The breakfast buffet was nothing special, and reminded me of a typical breakfast offered at mid-standard American hotels. Overall the food ranged from average to terrible, with the breakfast and lunch options being terrible and the dinner options average. Most of all we were disappointed in the service. It was slow at best, non-existent at the pool, and some of the staff had attitudes and should pursue other lines of work. The activities, whatever they were, were a complete mystery as we didn't receive any information on available daily activities. Also, it was our anniversary and we were also celebrating a birthday, and we communicated that to the resort, and although we paid extra to upgrade to the concierge level they did nothing special for us on our special day. After 7 hours in the air, 2 hours to get through immigration and customs in Barbados (another joke), we will certainly not visit this resort again. The only reason I am giving it two stars instead of one star is the beautiful and clean grounds and beach, and the drinks were decent.
