Wow, amazing place and worth a visit if you like fine dining and a location/setting to die for. Not cheap so don't go there unless you are prepared for a bill of circa $400 for 2 with wine and 3 courses. Go early for the sunset which adds to the romance.
Fantastic views, decor, good and service. The Cliff lives up to its name as it is built on the side of a cliff. Kevin was our Waiter and he was outstanding. The Cliff is well worth the steel prices.
First time I visited in Sept 2017 the food and service was exceptional. I can’t say the same for my visit today. The service was lacking from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. We made reservations a month in advance and was seated by the kitchen. The food continues to be the best I’ve tasted in Barbados. For the $ you pay you want better service.
Superb cuisine in an extraordinary setting. Pricey, but top quality. Should be on top of the list for foodies in Barbados. The wine list is solid. There's valet service if you drive there. They have cabs outside if you didn't.
We went to The Cliff for a family night out, they sat a table with 6 adults and 3 children at the water's edge, it was stunningly beautiful. We ordered customized meals for each child, everything came out quickly and perfectly, they even cut my one-year old's food into appropriate sizes. The adult meals were spectacular, although I must say the meat dishes were better than the fish (my fish was overcooked). Overall, we had a lovely evening with family.
Stunning views of the beautiful Barbadian waters. Make reservations ahead of time. We were lucky enough to get in for a quick drink.
Fantastic food, beautiful setting, very attentive staff!
Awesome restaurant. Excellent food great service but expensive.
Amazing food and great place for weddings.
This is a great venue in a beautiful setting. The food is of a high standard and the service is both good and friendly without being over attentive. It is expensive though, so probably best kept for a special occasion
The scenery and staff are amazing. Great service and even better food. Its a must when in Barbados.
There is no doubt this is the top restaurant on the island. Do the tasting menu. Let the Chef be your guide to gastronomic ecstasy.
One of the best restaurants I've been to in my life with exceptional food and an unmatchable view.If you get the chance then you must experience it!
Probably the BEST restaurant in whole Barbados!!! Amazing location, really great food, super service, of course pricey, but that's ok :-)
They say they seat you at the waterfront tables in the order the reservation is received. We were "guaranteed" one of these tables 6 weeks in advance WITH a credit card deposit and were seated at a table in the back upon arrival. Of course we made them move us but this never should have happened. The customer service here is terrible and the owners just dont care. It isn't worth being treated so rudely. This place is expensive which we knew before reserving. After all, it was our 4th time here at the restaurant. It will also be our last! There are so many great restaurants on the west coast of the island with better views, better food and definitely better service. AND, these other places will accept an American Express Black Card. I mean, really? Can't you afford the Amex fees Cliff? Not very upscale if you ask me!
The Cliff Restaurant provides fantastic atmosphere, service, and food. I'd recommend setting up a reservation. For two of us we did the tasting menu and were not disappointed.
Great service and attention to detail. The price point is on the upper end of dinner/lunch restaurants in Barbados but definitely a clear cut above the rest. Excellent choice for a special occasion.
red flagcredit card deposit for "reservation", food was average - too salty and veggies tasted fishy. beautiful view, way way too over-priced. would never go again and would never recommend.
Being a tight Yorkshireman, I was worried that a £150 per head meal was going to leave a nasty lump in my throat. However, The Cliff proved to be just simply stunning and worth every penny. Dramatic and almost theatrical in setting, you feel part of some fantastic performance of which the food is only a part. To sit with a cocktail watching a Bajan sunset in such an atmospheric torch-lit setting is just sublime. If you can't enjoy this you are dead! My advice is go. JUST GO!. And to hell with the mortgage! This place is a one off in the world and just has to be experienced. The foods great and plentiful-we didn't need to get a bag of chips on the way home either!
As an infrequent visitor to this fashionable restaurant, my expectations have always been very high, booking 2 months in advance to ensure a table on Valentines Night I expected it to be the highlight of our holiday.
Sadly this was not to be, the food served by courteous, able staff was to be expected and lived up to expectations.
The romance of the evening was evidently not even on their radar and when asked why, I was told I could have a free charity based badge as a gift. in some weird gesture of substitution for what should be at the very least a flower, chocolates and decorations in the restaurant to make the evening properly themed for Valentines Night.
Living in London and regularly dining in some of the best places I cannot imagine spending the equivalent of £300 on VN and it being as poorly presented as this night.
The Cliff has lost its way when it cannot be bothered to look after its clients in such a lazy way
Listen, this place is simple awesome. Great food, amazing view and great service. Lobster rissoto is an absolute must. The sound of the waves, the lounge music, the breeze Look, just grab your wallet and go. Yolo.
Wonderful location, but overpriced. Food was above average but nothing special, and not worth the price tag. Would recommend to visit for a few evening drinks, but the restaurant knocks the score down.
One of our guests ordered a steak cooked rare, when it arrived, it was medium at best.
Appears to be trading on its reputation rather than improving its reputation. 3.5/5
