Hi everyone, just got back from a fabulous two week stay at Discovery Bay the staff went all the way to make this by far one of the best holidays we have had. Thanks to all at Discovery Bay we shall be next year.

The location is fantastic and the staff cannot do enough for you. We had a fantastic room ours was no 80 which in itself was spacious but we had the added benefit of a lounge as well with a small kitchenette fridge sink etc. This also had a double balcony which was great as we were a party of 6 in total so inviting them round for a pre dinner drink was easy. The food was really good. The al a carte was well cooked with a choice for all. The buffet style breakfast lunch and dinner also had a good variety with choices for even the fussiest eaters. Cocktails were great and the drinks good quality. Facilities whilst yes in places were a bit tired were clean and the beds really comfy.
All in all location, size, food and drink along with lovely staff made it great value for money. Sandy Lane its not but it is a good cost effective all inclusive.

I'd definitely recommend or stay here again. It's a three star resort, so things are a little dated or basic, but in Barbados you get what you pay for. Wifi is barely non existent in most areas, but it seems towards the beach end of the the garden bar worked well. Room was big and nice with air con and a telly. Beds were really comfy. Food was pretty decent other than one a la carte hiccup which the hotel went way beyond their duty to make it up to us. So many nice staff members. The beach is epic. There is also a small pool to cool off in.

This is probably the worst hotel experience I have had in years. The Discovery Bay Hotel at Holetown, Barbados is an old property in need of renovation. My room's air conditioning stopped working during my second night and it got quite hot. I opened the window to let in some air to be able to get some sleep. At about midnight, the security woke me up that it is prohibited to leave the window opened. I explained them the situation. I received an additional accusation that I have not reported the malfunctioning AC earlier. Given how much is this property charging this has been a very disappointing experience.

It was a really friendly place, all the staff were lovely and kind. The food was decent enough and the al carte evenings had surprisingly nice food. The pool was placed in a good position but not used much since we are on the beachfront which is good. The animal wildlife Is really abundant and interesting to look at. The rooms were comfortable and had good views out onto the sea, even the bottom floor ones were pleasant enough to look out of. All together a really nice experience.

Hotel is basic in many regards but adequate based on previous experience. However current trip spoilt by lack of any hot water in majority of hotel rooms and daily promises of resolution are continually breached. The hot water heating system appears to reflect the general level of maintenance at the hotel.

Staff are exceptional, you are always greeted with a smile, they work hard from dawn to dusk and go out of the way to make you feel welcome. The hotel itself has seen better days and Rex Resorts should be ashamed at the lack of investment in the infrastructure but if you look past the tired buildings peeling floorboards and enjoy the great location (literally just 5 min walk into the heart of holetown) then you won’t regret booking here.

Hello everyone
We are never staying before small and old hotel, But we changed our minds.
We fell in love with this hotel in his staff.
1) so beautiful beach
2) wi-fi everywhere, including the beach
3) delicious cocktails
4) snorkeling , swimming with a turtle on the site (safe money)!!!!
5) I will not talk about food. But if you want to eat - go in the evening to any restaurant. We visited the restaurant Taid (expensive, but you must to try). Or other ones.
We are stayed 5 days from 30 August to 4 September.

Lovely staff, quiet environment, a wonderful location for either your whole family or you and that special someone. It's located on the beach and one can hear the beautiful sound of birds chirping all day long. The garden is well kept and contains a variety of lovely tropical trees and flowers.

Came here for a day (99BD per person) all inclusive; lunch, afternoon tea, water sports, pool + drinks all included! Staff lovely, drinks and food excellent. I had freshly cooked fish for lunch with salad + pecan pie with ice cream for desert. Afternoon tea was sandwiches/cakes. Drinks included cocktails, smoothies, milkshakes, beers wine - you name it (apart from bottled water, but tap is perfectly fine..)! Enjoyed paddle boarding, snorkelling and kayaking as well as lounging in a poolside cabana. Perfect, very quiet at the moment so peaceful! Will probably visit again during my time here. :-) xx

A welcome surprise to the west coast that's not going to cost you an arm and a leg. The beach is gorgeous. I did an impromptu photoshoot with my girlfriend there. The pool is nice, the sunset is stunning, food was good too. The only loss of star is for quality of room, they could use with some renovations.

Came here for our wedding. The beach is amazing. The staff were very friendly. The hotel does need some renovation but was kept impeccably clean and tidy
