Driftwood villa is simply stunning! We stayed here on our third trip to Barbados and it was our first staying at Driftwood. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes stroll to Mullins beach, with (in my opinion!) one of the very best beach bars on the island. The villa itself was spotless, extremely modern and well maintained. We’ve stayed in a few different properties on a similar budget but none have been as bright, well-kept and high quality as Driftwood.
The open-plan, indoors/outdoors way of living that it enables with its huge folding patio doors was fantastic and we felt so relaxed and at home at the property. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to eat at home rather than out all the time and there was a decent wifi connection, which was good for us who are self-employed and needed to do some work. The pool is a good size and we even saw monkeys in the garden while lazing about in the afternoons!
Monica the cleaner was very thorough and attentive yet unimposing during her visit to give the place a spruce – she’s a great character to have a natter to about the island!
We had a hire car and found all we needed within a short drive but there was also bus stops close by. Mullins Beach Bar is a must-visit for music on a Sunday night but we also enjoyed the peace and calm of Gibbs Beach, which was only a few minutes walk away. For eating out, I would recommend Bombas, which is run by a lovely local family, right on the beach-front and is just a few minutes walk away.
James was really helpful during the whole process – booking was smooth and he was very prompt to reply. We only had a week here and it was definitely too short! I would definitely recommend Driftwood villa and staying in this area of the island. I can’t wait to return!response / report this review -

First time to Barbados at the start of December and it definitely won't be the last after a fantastic stay at Driftwood. Really impressive, comfortable villa that is finished to the highest quality. Great indoor and outdoor space, ideal for spending lazy mornings relaxing by the pool and then heading down to the awesome Mullins Beach Bar which is only about 300m away (and the live music night is awesome). On the beautiful west coast, Speightstown is just a five minute drive away too and Holetown ten minutes, so the location is spot on.

Wonderful time at Driftwood in August. Stunning villa, beautifully decorated, great sized bedrooms and living areas. Outdoor pool perfect for relaxing by, or short hop, skip and a jump down to Mullins beach bar, perfect for sunset drinks! All the information and facilities you need for an amazing holiday in Barbados. Will be going back at the very next opportunity!
