I expect the stay at this resort, and indeed the whole island, to be the benchmark of the perfect holiday for me for evermore. It's about as close to paradise as I can imagine.
The venue was superb. The room was immaculately clean and the public areas were kept just as tidy. If, like me, you don't get on with sunning yourself on a beach because of the mess then you'll love this place. Here you can plant yourself on a lounger on the grass areas that surround the pools. Adjacent to the grass is the white sandy beach and then the blue/green waters of the Caribbean Sea.
The food was exquisite. The breakfast was a feast of English, continental and fruits. The dinners were first class. The four on site restaurants amazing; the fish restaurant reigned supreme. If you're getting married here, as I did, you're taken care of like royalty.

HORRIBLE! Worse place we have ever been to! We are sitting now waiting for our ride to the airport. The hotel is disgusting and dirty, food is horrible! Pools are filthy and shallow? Most only 2-3ft? Some staff were very friendly but most were not helpful and made you feel like you were bothering them.
Stay away from this place! It needs to be shut down and rebuilt. Most staff should not be retained. If I could give it less than one star I would! Get me and my family out of here!!!!!

I just came back on yesterday after spending a week there with my daughter and mom. I absolutely loved the food, beach, pools and hotel, drinks and entertainment. I am sad it's closing! My only complaints is the women staff could be nicer, Enid's needs to be more organized for snack time and the beach towels should be available all day to exchange not just between 5-6.

Hello Almond Beach Resorts. I was the one with the hat with the hair!! that should get people laughing right there. I jut wanted to say that of all the places we have been, Barbados and particularly Almond Beach resorts was a fantastic place to have a holiday. There are so many to thank, the people who were cooking the people who greeted us at reception the people who rented our car for us and had it dropped off at the resort. They went out of their way to make it a great vacation. It it sad to know that they will be closing soon and transferring ownership to Sandles. My only regret is that is that we could not stay longer. Barbados is a fantastic place to vacation..

Part of the hotel was being renovated, still the staff seemed unenthusiastic and bored. A hell of a downer when you've spent a lot of money to come to Barbados. Otherwise the location is satisfactory, quiet a way out from the city and nightlife which can be a let down of you're looking for that. However the location like anywhere in Barbados is beautiful. A beautiful country full of beautiful people.

Great staff very friendly and helpful. Food is plentiful spread over 3 restaurants, nice and tasty but a bit repetitive over 2 weeks. rooms are clean n tidy but bathrooms are tired .this is our 3rd year it's value for money and great for kids club .it has ideal pool choices with all different depths. Beach fronted sea is calm with guest turtles appearing most nights before sunset.

Our first time experience of an all-inclusive staycation was fantastic. On arrival we were greeted with warm and friendly staff. The rooms were quite spacious and your own balcony. Since it was hubby's birthday we even received a complimentary bottle of wine. The hotel has 3 restaurants to choose from and the food options:-breakfast, lunch and dinner were all prepared by chefs and exquisite. The ambience, quality of hotel and staff are one of a kind and gave top notch warm and friendly service. They even cater to young children with a Nursery, Kids Club and Pool to ensure the children are well occupied while parents get that much needed downtime. Kudos Almond!!!! We will be back!!

I first have to state, the greeting at the front gate was pleasant and inviting. Followed by the security personnel who was at every turn guiding you to safe parking. On completion was directed by security to the front desk were you were met by an usher to the function area. The experience continued with a drink of rum punch which tasted great and and there had a couple more before the ceremony got started. Finally the function started and was well attended. The dinning was great which was complimented by the staff. They were courteous and very professional in carrying out their duties. The food was good. After or meal we had dancing and mingling. The bar staff must be complimented as well. I would say it was a great and enjoyable night. Thanks to the professionalism of the staff, keep it up. Thanks guy's.

Book through a travel agent, not directly on their website. We booked an airport transfer and spa package via their website and neither was reserved for us. We had to find our own way to the resort when we arrived when no one was there to get us. Rooms are okay but in need of maintenance. Some of the beds are good, but some are sleeping on the coil springsluck of the draw I guess. Food choices are limited. They used to be much bigger but had to shut down a large portion of the resort due to lack of profitability. They had nice selection of activities that are included which is nice, times vary though. Most of the staff was great and very helpful. Oh, take some bug spray, and you have to ask to get your room sprayed. Take some swim shoes, part of the beach is coral reef. If you don't want to keep running to the bar getting drinks while you are at the pool, bring big cups. The small plastic ones they have at the bar go empty really quick.

It is definitely not a 4 star hotel - 3 Star! Needs a bunch of upgrades, looks like it was a nice hotel at one point but it has clearly slipped. There is has a lot of good stuff: some decent food, choices, good beach, good personable staff save for lazy witch in extensions who is in charge at the kids club! of all places, this was the wrong place to have a bad staff!

Only four star s as we were only passing through and only had experience of the food, not the facilities. The staff were exceedingly good though as they helped my wife treat her injured leg so we could get her to the medical centre.

I spent a week at Almond Beach resort with two other adults, one of which was an elderly lady and also a child. I have had holidays abroad including a cruise and Almond is the best holiday resort ever. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They all make you feel welcome and at home, from the Managing Director to the lowest level of staff. The environment felt safe, the food and drink all day long was very nice. Something to suit any palate from adults to children. So much more to say about Almond. We had a really excellent experience there and I plan to go back soon.

This resort is good for couple with small kids who could make sand castle all day and play in the pool. It is also good for laid back/older people. For the rest of the population is very boring. they have No dancing at all and have some music at night. Singers only knew the songs from 80,s and some 90,s. As far as food,I have to say not much of variety. If you stay in this resort ,You have to go out and spend money in order to have some fun. Food is very expensive out there. 20 bucks for one piece of fried chicken or fish . I have to say people are very friendly but I will never go back. It is not for me! I have warn you about renting a jet ski from sport club. My son and I rented the jet ski for 30 minutes around 4 o'clock and after 5 minutes ridding we got far from hotel but far enough to see the hotel . Jet ski broke down and did not move. it was rainy and was getting dark and nobody from sport club came to save us. We were wondering why nobody cares. Finally a private small ship came and saved us and took us to the shore. it was 2 hours and 20 minutes later. The guy from sport club was standing by the shore to get his jet ski. I do not think he ever cared what happened to us. It was an expensive vacation. I wished we did not have that bad exprience. Just rent the jet ski early and make sure there is other speed boat on the shore to rescue you if something happened. I did want to mention about jet ski incidence, but I do not want this happen to anybodyelse.

This was a trip of our lifetime! I have been all over the world in both all inclusive and not all inclusive, and this one was the very best. It was reasonably priced, we were treated like celebrities by the hotel staff. The food was exceptional. The local town you can walk to is safe and has a fabulous pizza joint if you want to departure from the resort food. The island tours were included, we did everyone of them and enjoyed all of them. The people on the island are super friendly.

This is a really laid back resort with fantastic staff. There was always a good choice of food and plenty of it. Really close to Speightstown which is just a short walk away.

Awesome staff, very accommodating. Views are amazing and the beach was fantastic. Too bad the winds were high. Had to walk a ways north to swim near the marina Saw turtles in the sea right there! See you next time!

We are having a very enjoyable time at the Almond Beach Resorts. It's a very tired hotel with a semi colonial air. The food is completely middle of the road with not a lot of choice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and really make the place. The beaches are quite nice and their always seems to be seats available which is a huge plus. It's a good place of you get a deal on price.
