In this hotel is the time standing still in 1984, as the XIV. Olympic Winter Games took place - here as well. The personal is pretty friendly, just the infrastructure is ancient. Too sad for a former olympic venue and for the actual Olympic Centre Jahorina.

It's a very nice place, a 3 star hotel with a GYM, a poll, a sauna, a massage table and an all you can eat restaurant

Place is old and definitely needs refurbishing. We bought pool entrance and were very disappointed by the conditions: unsanitary locker rooms, broken tiles and place overall seems dirty. We left the place immediately and managed to get a refund, however it took a lot of hassle to get it accompanied by staffs eye rolling and comments.

Rooms is not renovated, only toilets in rooms and lobby bar. But, hotel have a good kitchen and good food.

Hotel is stuck in own Winter Olympic glory from 1984. Don't get me wrong, stuff is polite, food is quite OK, but it desperately needs refurbishing, and nothing more. There's a pool at the hotel as well as gym and sauna. The views from 2nd floor are amazing!
Besides old furniture from 80s (some may like it) the bar serves nice coffee and drinks, WiFi is good and quick - not through the whole hotel though. In some weird way it has something charming, that is why it gets 3 stars from me.response / report this review -

This is one really interesting Hotel which was built for winter Olympics 1984 in Sarajevo. This hotel wasn't renovated so everything remind on the glory of the good days. Even blanket still have logos of the Olympic games. Everithing is really clean but old. There are still billboards on the walls from the 1984 and even personal have old uniforms. On the other side. This is really quite place with beautiful views on surrounding mountains. Also people are realy nice and friendly. Every guest will feel like it's belonging to this place. Give this place a chance to make you feel better and happy.

Very old hotel with friendly staff, fine food, but rooms are terrible. If you want to travel to past, this hotel will help you feel like you are doing so. By entering this hotel, you are making step into previous century. It’s OK for organizing events for children (seminars, training's and similar activities). Price is in mid-range, but again, be aware that rooms are very old and everything around you was build 40 years ago.

The hotel was builded at the time of Olimpics games in 1984 and is still in good shape. Hotel Bistrica is nothing special, but has a pleasant atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. If you do not expect luxury you will be satisfied.
