Excellent place with great amenities of which many are free of charge.
I have two notes though:
The temperature controls in the room didn't seem to have any effect on the temperature, whether it's on or off, high temperature or low, the temperature is always the same, higher than what I want.
The second is that, and this is a note that applies across all of Azerbaijan, is that most of the staff (not reception) do not understand or speak English. This I believe should be addressed soon as Azerbaijan is becoming very popular among tourists.
Shahdag a very very beautiful place to visit in Azerbaijan. Not only the place but the travel from Baku by road to this place is classic. Many beautiful cities on way.
Shahdag hotel must b a good place but the overall area is spectacular. There are chair lifts going till top.
The place have a big car park. The people and staff are very polite. Overall a very nice place to visit.
Perfect place even if you have medium budget to spent! it was so interesting! Very good quality for such low prices!
lovely place need to have more kind of the food they have other that lovely place narjes can speak &understand english and it is the best helper
1st impression upon check in: a beautiful hotel with friendly staffs at counter, the room is very spacious which is enough for my toddler to run around! We booked the room with Mountain View and the View is marvelous! There is welcome snack and fruits served on the table. The washroom is big too with a bathtub, standing shower area and toilet! We were happy for our selection! We reached late, about 4pm and hence didn’t managed to enjoy the skiing. We tried their buffet at ground floor restaurant, 35manat for adult and 25manat for kid (3-12years old), the food is not bad but limited varieties.
Our disappointment started from 2nd day! The drainage in standing shower area is stuck and flooding. The housekeeping fixed the problem at 4pm because she came at 3pm for the housekeeping!! We stayed here for 4 nights 3 days, the housekeeping came at 2-3pm! We went out the room everyday from 8am-1pm and turn on the housekeeping signal, but it was not working because no one came to clean the room! We met the housekeeping lady at corridor when we went out and asked to clean the room since we were going out but. the lady came to our room just to clean the toilet and throw the bin, then put the new water bottle! That it’s!! Very disappointed with the housekeeping!! This is definitely not qualified for 5 stars hotel for the price paid!
It's good for your purpose of skeing only, the reception was great. Other than that I didn't feel the true value of the high pricing in food and beverages. A regular dinner will cost you a fortune
Beautiful Resort below the Mountain Shahdag. Muscat visit place. Exellent for skiing for all ages.
Taking expats to a whole new level.
Just bring your very own bottle drinks .
A beautiful hotel.
Worth seeing
An excellent resort with beautiful scenery and an excellent spa.
Amazing place with beautiful nature. It's a bit far from the capital but it worth it I guess.
The best hotel in this region don't hesitate to book
Very nice hotel
Very nice place, clean.. Nice service.. And warm in winter :)
For those who adore mountain nature this hotel is like their dream house. Classy designed rooms with full access for spa, pool, and other utilities.
The withdrawal points are the distance from the center of the city, the lack of neighboring markets and some weather issues.
Overall Amazing place.
Great rooms and service, food could be better.
What a pleasant surprise. Our experience surpassed expectation. It's a clean and well furnished hotel, with a friendly staff who are eager to help you in any way. Its the best among the three neighboring hotels.
The Spa experience is wonderful. They have a lovely Turkish Hammam. Also, there is a VIP quarter in the Spa if your wallet allows. I recommend it. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Do try the massages. Avoid deep tissue massage, as you will suffer the next day when skiing 😊. I recommend the Thai massage, with focus on stretching. The gym is also nice, if you still have energy after skiing.
My son lost his wallet. They returned it to our room despite the fact that there is nothing inside it to identify its owner except for a telephone SIM chip. They actually went through the trouble of searching for the country of that telecomm operator on the SIM and that is how they identified the owners and returned my son much beaten up wallet. That is the extra mile.
The hotel sits right on the slopes with a ski shop next to slopes. All of this is a short elevator journey from your room.
While the food is acceptable, they could improve on daily variety as they have the same arrangements and only change few dishes.
You can hop around the restaurants of the two neighboring hotels.
If you enjoy pool, like me and my kids, they have a lovely classical table. Unfortunately, they need to change the worn out tips of the sticks.
Keep good company. There is not much other activities beyond the skiing and the Spa. But, that was just fine with me. Oh, they do have a roof top raucous smoke filled (shisha) bar/restaurant, if you are into that.
Overall, I recommend it.
Stayed at Pik Palace hotel. 5 stars.
