An avoidable tourist trap in the middle of kitsch. I had the 4 ribs sampler and only the Sriracha hot and sweet ribs were any good. The original and smokey were too sweet and the ones with the dry rub were too dry with little punch in the rub. Wife's fish dish was breaded and overcooked. The best part of the meal was actually the slaw which was delicious. And that should tell you all you need to know. The service was pretty poor as well with long waits for the food, the check and the processing of the check. Save your money and try a local place instead.

The Smokey joe restaurant was one of the worst memory during our trip. We were mistreated by the staff and frankly discrimated against because of our skin color. The restaurant advertise that it stays open until 11pm and we ask for a table at 9:55pm, one of the waiter said wait and went to talk to another lady and she came to us and said we are not serving at this time while other guest were being seated. It was very demeaning and frankly one of our worst experience during our trip. Stay away from such establishment specifically if you are BLACK.

As with most restaurants in Aruba, the staff and vibe is consistently amazing! Ribs are their specialty, and you would be missing out if you don't try them. The island slaw is great as well. Laid back atmosphere with true Arubian feel.

This place turned out to be surprisingly very very good. Their Barbeque and pretty much every other meat dish was excellent. The shining star dish I think of this restaurant is the jerk chicken because their sauce is out of this world probably one of the best jerk sauce I've ever ate. Their ribs were also very good including all four of their different rub / sauces. Definitely would recommend and wanted to actually eat this place twice but they were closed at around 9 so beware that the online time and not reflect their actual time of closure.

We had smoked ribs (not very smokey), and grouper. The food was good but not great. Kids split a burger and fries. Nice touch was that they wanted just ketchup and the cooks pit the bacon in the side.

Server was nice and spoke English quite well. For the size of the place, the food was served quite quickly.

Tonight we had the loaded fries with pulled pork (shared) , I got the ribs and wings that came with fires and coleslaw and my boyfriend got the shrimp lovers platter the pork on top of the fires was so delicious that I was second guessing my decision on the ribs and wings combo. I could have eaten a whole plate of pulled pork by myself.. Once the ribs and wings came out the mouth watering fall off the bone meat hit the spot! Our server was sweet and food came out with very little wait.. I'll definitely go back again!

While vacationing in Aruba we heard from many people to go to Smokey Joes. So we did. Food is pretty bleh, nothing special. My husband had the ribs & I had the chicken. I've now been sick in bed all night & day with food poisoning, missing an entire day at the beach. Would not recommend this place. There's so many other fabulous restaurants we ate at during our trip, and we completely regret going to this one.

Everyone, from the host how showed us to our seats (Alexander), to our server (Terrance), were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Our first visit I tried the Grouper. The next day I came back for the shrimp and ribs (all you can eat on Tuesday!).

Had AYCE ribs Tues evening. Comes with Cole slaw and home fries. 1st plate decentfull rack but each successive reorder got smaller & smaller. Last 2 reorder were the small end ribs about 3 bones less than 3" in length! Food and service still good so 3 stars. Would've been 4 if consistent portions!

Good for a quick dinner or drinks. No reseravations needed. Come in your shorts and flip flops. The ribs were above okay, but not great. The shrimp, especially coconut shrimp, were very good. The drinks were good too. Fairly priced menu.

The ribs are decent. The sauce is pretty good, but they are not as tender as I expected. Waited about 30 minutes to get seated on a Sunday. It was really busy and the service isn't great. People who ordered after us got their food first. It took a long time for our waiter to get to us and even longer to get a glass of water.

Always a very fun atmosphere and great place to dine with a group of friends and family.

The food is flavorful and consistent and the mojitos are fantastic.

Outdoor seating atmosphere fits the island feel very well.

In my opinion, I believe that they offer the best ribs around, with an unique sauce which you won't find anywhere else. The wings are okay. This place is definitely kid friendly, unique, and has average prices. Usually this place is very busy, so you will almost always have to wait for seats, other than that, you should definitely give this restaurant a visit.

Great food and reasonable prices. Friendly staff even if our waitress wasn't the best. Bar staff was very accommodating by switching the TV channel so we could watch the Stanley Cup Finials!

Food was ok, not the greatest but not the worst. Probably wouldn't go back, the sister restaraunt (Iguana Cantina) blows this out of the water

This was a very disappointing meal. Perhaps we were late in the evening. We ate at around 9 pm. The fries were cool and old. I got the barbecue pulled pork sandwich. My husband got wings and the rib sampler. Some of the worst we have had. I would not recommend this location. Too many others to choose from.

Simple, Casual, hits the spot. Nutritious and tasty meals and drinks at affordable prices. Hits the spot.

Burgers, ribs, are the main fare of Smokey Joe's. The regular burger is about $13 and comes with all the fixings. Oh and it's HUGE (see pic below). The grouper/fish is a little pricier but worth a punt if you're feeling "fishy" :).

    I'd go back any time.
