Loved the resort its clean and well maintained .Its a great location walking distance from the restaurants shopping and mall, Right on the white sandy beach.Very helping and friendly staff.We stayed in the studio that came equipped with a coffee maker microwave toaster and fridge.There is also a washing machine on the same floor near the ice machine.We had a fabulous view of the turquoise blue ocean.We needed a lot of sun block and big hats as the sun is very strong.Very family and kid friendly.I was Sad leaving to come back to reality!!!

We came to this resort due to the fact that we needed to bring our 3 yr old daughter with us. This place is definitely kids' friendly and family oriented unlike the Ritz next door. This place is pretty wild, somewhat very loud and jam packed but then, I didn't really mind too much as we needed to be loud with our daughter anyway. But if you are looking to just chill and relax, I am not so sure if this place is all that suitable. Their lazy river is fun and relaxing, although it does get over crowded. The beach can be a little bit better..the water is slightly rough and there's a dock right in front of the beach. Marriott Ocean club is a little more chiller than the surf club, also the beach is better. But then, you can pretty much use all their amenities as well, so you will have many options between these two resorts. I would still go back there no matter what.

What a beautiful happy island. Marriott was very clean and relaxing. Swim up bar food wasn't that great and the prices are crazy but still fun. Beach food places were outstanding just outside the Marriott property.

I've been coming here with my family for nearly 15 years now and absolutely love it. I personally enjoy blowing up a tube, grabbing a drink and just letting the time fly by on the Lazy River in the pool.

It definitely feels like a resort when you are in the grounds, but you are just 1 block away from the downtown area, where there are plenty of places to dine, shop, and if you are into it, the nightlife is awesome and offers a short and safe walk home.

There are lots of fun activities to do on the island as well. So far I've tubed behind a speed boat, went off roading on ATVs that you can tour the whole island with, found secluded beaches and natural rock formations, sat on an ostrich at and ostrich farm, and have otherwise just had the time of my life relaxing in the warm weather and constant island breeze.

Like I said, I've been coming here since I was a teenager, and now that I have a little one on the way, I can't wait this family tradition with her!

The Marriott Surf Club is a wonderful resort. The Lazy River is absolutely the best. After spending a wonderful week there, we were at the airport when I realized I had lost my phone. We called the phone and the Surf Club operator picked up. It was turned in to the lost and found. Marriott sent a driver to the airport to deliver it to us before our flight left no charge.

The resort is big and beautiful. We love watching sunset from our room too! Staff is best. Food was little expensive because we don’t eat meat we’re eating out. So beautiful!! Great weather except wind. Only misunderstanding with booking. We’re group of four and we had a hotel room with double beds instead of one bedroom. I’ll definitely go back even though I got hurt in my knee playing beach volleyball and going to therapy.because the manager was very nice too! Didn’t charge us for phones which we made to interval.

Me, my wife, my sister, and brother-in-law stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that was very beautiful. The weather is great, and the water is beautiful. We had a blast doing the N.Y. Giants & Philadelphia Eagles game at the poolside bar. It was great socializing with people from different parts of the world. Just remember that a good time cost money. A bit expensive but we'll worth it.

Beautiful views ruined by overcrowding. The resort is too big for its own good. The pool is so filled up there is no where to go. The beach is better as long as you have rented a palapa. The staff are friendly but seem to be overworked. It can take an hour to get food during lunch time. With the amazing property they have, it could be so much nicer.

Love all of the Marriott properties I've been to! The Surf Club is great if you're traveling with family/kids. If your looking to quietly sit by the pool then this isn't the place to go. There's an adult pool area but not enough seating. Rooms are what you'd expect from Marriott.

What an amazing resort. Walking through for the first time was a relaxing experience itself. You can tell each piece of this resort was meticulously thought out. The water temperature is perfect in all the pools and lazy river. The staff is extremely friendly.

Beach, pools, water slide and more! Had a great stay here in a Studio attached to a suite that our good friends have as a time share. We used the studio for 2 adults and 2 kids and shared the suite kitchen space. The pools and lazy river were perfect for the hot days and the kids enjoyed it for 4 days we were there. One of the elevators wasn't working and the limited food and drinks were pricey for what you get.

This rating depends on how crowded you enjoy your vacation, I do not enjoy an overcrowded stay, so this is a main reason for only 3 stars. Rooms are spacious, modern, and well appointed. All the luxuries of an upscale condo. Everything is supplied in its full large appliance kitchen. Staff is very friendly and issues are dealt with quickly. Now the down side. This resort is like a spring break frat party. Marriott fires its best to get the most of every scare inch of this place and it certainly feels like it. There are WAY TOO MANY people here, and not enough pool side chairs. I have witnessed arguments escalate into fist fights over a lounge chair, despicable behavior for young children to witness and not what I want on my vacation.

A good friend of mine died of a heart attack while staying at this resort. The manager and director of rooms, along with other staff members cared for his wife until family arrived from the US. They called the wife when she returned to the US to check on her and also sent flowers to her home. This resort went beyond customer service for this family. The resort is beautiful and a great place to visit but the staff is what makes this resort Home away from Home!

***** Great vacation spot. Bring a inflatable tube with you. They have a lazy river that is awesome, you won't want to get out of it. You can float in ocean too with it. No waves or undertow just float out there all day. Bring lots of sunscreen with you it's expensive here on the island and you will need a ton so you don't burn, sun is intense. Great beach and happy hour starts at 3-6 daily. A breeze is blowing all day so even if temp is hot it is still nice

I love the Marriott Aruba surf club. The the staff are the best.. Super friendly. The weather is always sunny and hot. Try their fish salad while at the pool, taste wonderful and it's great for your figure.

We own a week here and have been the last 10 years. It's been fun watching the kids grow up and enjoy this vacation differently each year. They definitely update the hotel regularly. It can get crowded at certain times of the year, and as I said it's very kid friendly, so not a romantic couple destination.

We have been very happy at the Surf Club. The staff is terrific, housekeeping does a great job, the grounds are well maintained, the pools are very nice, and the beach is "right there" and it's beautiful. We rented a 1BR unit that was huge (more than twice the size of a standard hotel room), and included a full kitchen, washer/dryer, two sinks, a large soaking tub and a stand-up shower. The balcony was smallish, but was big enough for a table with four chairs. Parking can be a pain, but it's a pain everywhere you go. Overall, the Surf Club is excellent. Highly recommended.

My wife & I spent a week that the Marriott Aruba Surf Club last July (15 – 21). It was excellent! The property was great. Even though we had a rental car we left the property only once. Everything we needed or wanted was on-site! The staff was the icing on the cake. The personalized service at the restaurant provided by Donny Fernandez was First Class. The poolside entertainment provided by D.J. Eddy was exceptional. Some friends visited Aruba the following week and stayed a few properties to the south of the Marriott Surf. They told us they had a nice time but it was nothing special. As we shared our trip stories, it quickly became evident the difference between our ‘excellent’ and their ‘nice’ experience was due to the property and staff at the Marriott Surf! We thank you, Eric & Robin.
