Heathcote national park is often forgotten thanks to its big brother next door, the Royal National Park. This makes for a much quieter experience. The trip to kingfisher pool isn't that far but the path is quite rocky in places and the beginning is very steep. Tons of birds and you could definitely swim in the pools in summer. There is one long drop toilet that I saw near the pools other than that you would need to carry everything you need in and out. Awesome spot for a picnic

Disgusting campsite. Disrespectful morons left piles of rubbish and blocked up toilets. Stay out of national parks if you cannot respect them.
