As of Jan 2017, the campground is still closed after the bushfires.

Free bush style camping in a national park. Need to bring water & take out rubbish. No animals to be brought in. Caravan parks in the surrounds are a racket and they've lobbied councils to fine people sleeping in cars and to restrict "free camping" as it affects their revenue.

Best suited to tents, campervan or small trailers.
