This pub has come back to life! The new management have turned this pub around and its now an awesome spot to grab a few beers with buddys or to take the family for a meal, play a game of pool and listen to some good tunes. Chat with some locals and get some sweet spots to visit on your holiday, staff are super friendly. Theyve re-introduced a sweet outside beer garden thats great to catch some live music or some local DJ's throwin down some tunes. Also lots of parking if you plan to drive, sunset views from the patio out front and dont forget theres also a second beer garden at the back.

Front bar is good for a quick pint. Nice art on the walls and friendly staff. The restaurant (I'm sorry, "bistro," 🙄) out the back was super casual, the food was just okay, kind of disappointing. Way overpriced for the quality (~$30 for a main), seemed like it was prepared by an amateur.

Food looked ok I guess, not that we got close to ordering. Phoned ahead to book a table and was told their were heaps of gluten free options, arrived in the restaurant and staff wondering about just ignored us, so we walked over to the kitchen counter, nothing, staff just carried on without acknowledging us, went back to the bar and was told where we were sitting. Took a seat, looked at the menu, out of the 7 items on the mains list there was one gluten free meal which was also vegetarian, otherwise I could have a $30-35 steak, however there were many entree options. We sat in an almost empty restaurant for 15-20 minutes, there is no signage or staff to indicate that waiters don't come to your table or any signage to say that you have to order at the kitchen counter. Staff just wondered past our table without welcoming us or telling us the low down. I would think at such high prices there would be table service, not counter service. The bar was pretty busy, but not the restaurant. I think I know why now. We just got up and left.
Would have happily spent the money had we been treated as customers rather than some annoying people that were taking up space.

Restaurant prices. Pub service. Over priced beer. Didn't stick around for the food. Boasted "heeps of gluten free options on the phone. Mains that were gluten free, included steak and the veggie option. That ain't heaps. Prices suggest Table service and restaurant attitude. Had to find our own table despite reservation. Maybe it's because I'm European and expect more for my money. Went down the road and had a pizza at nicos. Treated like kings great food great service. Best gluten free pizza I've had since I landed!!!

Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic staff, so much fun!!! When I went there was a ping pong competition and a gig. Both so fun! Really want to go back next time I am in town.

Great local pub. Ate here 3 nights in a row whilst working in the area.
Good food, and great chat over the bar, as well as enjoying the cast of travellers that come through. We will be returning if in the area.

Classic local pub with truly excellent food. The Angus burger was fantastic! We'll be back for another tomorrow in fact Service is basic but friendly, prices are decent. Warm cozy atmosphere with the fireplace going. Best meal on the south coast so far.
