  Surprisingly good accommodation separate from the pub itself - definitely recommend for a stop over. Plus the pub does amazing food

  Good value for the accommodation. Shared bathroom but it is spotless. Room warm and fresh towels provided. Kitchenette has microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle and toast /cereal available for brekkie. Food in pub is really good, in particular the pizzas. Would like to see drinkable water provided in kitchen as there was none despite sign.

  Recently spent a night at The Willalooka Tavern. It had been a bit of a bucket list thing since passing through a couple of years ago. My experience was not great. It started on arrival when my quoted price of $50 for bed and continental breakfast increased to $60. I then found in my sparsely furnished room (Not even a mirror) I could not drop the venetian blind and the TV could only pick up ABC & SBS. Undeterred I went and showered in the communal shower/toilet. The light globe had blown and I had to pinch toilet paper from the women's toilet.
  also my towel smelt unpleasant. The shower was at least hot and strong and the receptacle reasonably clean other than someone else's soap razor and shampoo still being there. Undeterred, I decided to go over to the tavern for drinks dinner and to watch the footy. When I got there it was still happy hour, which made me slightly happier. I grabbed a pint and sat down to watch the footy. Despite the majority of patrons being middle aged males, the girls serving behind the bar decided everyone would like to hear loud country rock music rather than football commentary. Despite a number of requests for music off, footy on, the music stayed until the young girls with personality bypass were relieved of their duties at about 3/4 time. For dinner I ordered over the bar 6 oysters and a wood fired pizza. Somehow I ended up with 12 oysters but didn't mind because they were lovely and fresh despite some grit and the pizza was magnificent. The bar girls were relieved of their duty at about 10 and now people could hear themselves talk and watch the last quarter of the footy in peace. After the footy I wandered off to sleep in what was a reasonable comfortable bed. Next morning I went to get my continental breakfast, which consisted of a few slices of stale sliced bread in the fridge with marj and a choice of spreads. There was no milk for tea, coffee or cereal. the kitchenette is tiny and you would not want to be jostling for anything with other customers. Overall I would recommend avoiding the accommodation here. It is very overpriced for what is provided. At least inspect before payment!

  The best Filet Mingon I have ever eaten in my life.
  Lovely salad and great chips to go with it.
  Call first to see if they are serving meals first as it is a small pub and if no one is there the kitchen maybe closed.
  
  Say G'Day to Bonez the local bar fly while you are there.
