The place is great with an amazing view. However, the food is a little bit disappointing. We have been at this pub before and enjoyed the food first time. We tried the Chicken Parma and a Greek-styled pizza. The former was just regular -- granted it was a huge portion of poultry with even more fries. The latter was bizarre to say the least: looked like a raw pizza dough with Colles bag salad and industrial sauce on top. The price is overrated and you pay for the view -- Parma $24, Greek-styled pizza $22; Draught Pint absurd $12(!). We are not repeating for the food but may go again for the view, drinks and a rest point when returning from the beach.

Such a great dining experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and had a great view of the water.

Wouldn't recommend unless you are desperate and McDonalds was closed.
Should have known how the meal was going to go down when we paid $9 for garlic and herb bread and got just two slices of bread with no garlic and a sprinkle of parsley on it.
I ordered the chefs special, duck with ravioli and mushroom sauce. It was just a breast of duck on Latina pasta drowning in some sort of overly sweet sauce that did not resemble the taste of mushrooms in anyway. By then we had waited an hour for our food and were starving but had to choke this monstrosity down. My partner got the ribs which claimed on the menu to come with stuffed potato skins. Ribs were cooked ok but had just a nasty jar sauce smothering them. The potato skin (there was only half a potato skin on the plate) was dry, had that cheap cubed bacon and packet mash inside of it, no cheese to be seen.
If you like forking out $80 for reheated packet food then this is the place to go.response / report this review -

We shared the 5 tapas. All were delicious. Then we had the apple tarte and mango dessert. They were amazing!! Great service and wine menu. Definitely recommend!

Wouldn't recommend Waterfront restaurant at Novotel in Geelong.
So disappointed. view of the bay was beautiful. Thought we would order seafood spaghetti. It looked fantastic adorned with whole crab draped over dish. Pulled meat from body but as it got closer to my mouth I could smell the ammonia. The taste was like eating bleach. My daughter said it smelt like hair colour. We removed the crab and ate the rest of our dish.. very disappointed. Salad great, no serving utensils or side plates. Used our pasta bowls Politely told the waitress, all she could say was sorry. Wouldn't recommend and definitely won't return

We loved it. We went on a Sunday for lunch, and we got served promptly and the food was delicious. The tables are not squished together and its spacious. An ideal place for those that can't stand claustrophobic restaurants. Nice view over the waterfront.
