While the staff were excellent and most helpful and kind, the food was really underwhelming compared to the description. It was not very fresh or viberant. I had the seafood delux and I was overall happy with the choice of the variety in my bowl but the seafood wasn’t cooked properly. It wasn’t pan fried or really even sautéed (that were not golden or caramelised) as described. ( and as they should have been), but it was reall the sauce that let it down. No hint of garlic or fresh chilli (or chill of any kind), and the Neapolitan sauce was not of fresh tomatoes or even tasted of tomatoes either. It also was very under seasoned I had to add so much pepper and salt that 1/4 that you through I just left it and was unable to eat the rest.
They did serve it with a hand rinsing bowl and nice hearted bread that was nice to see.
My Father had the gnocchi, know that was cooked well not overdone at all it was perfect, I doubt fresh but it was nice anyhow, the sauce itself was ok but again the Neapolitan base let in down not being fresh tomatoes or even tasting of the fresh tinned ones but bland and pasty.
The only dish that was mildly worth the night was the starter an antipasto platter, the salami and cheeses were good the preserved eggplant, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and olives were very nice not mind blowing but ok but nothing I couldn’t have got from the local shop and had at home, the green salad was just sad, it wasn’t cold and was underdressed (only having olive oil on it), and the presentation was, wel I’ve seen better from school students.
The other food around me I admit looked nice, you definitely can’t accuse them of stingy portion sizes, and they are well priced for what you get. I will leave by just wanting you to to know that I am jut a food lover and this is my opinion and although the food needed to be better and fresher the staff were lovely and kind.response / report this review -

Gluten free available which is great. No sign of staff to welcome us when wee arrived so we stood there not knowing how to orderor if we could sit.
Food pretty good. Waited 40 mins for our food then we asked where it was. Waitress went off to check on it and never came back. We had to ask for a second time at which time we were told our food hadn't been made and was now in the process of being cooked. When the food did arrive it was wrong.response / report this review -

Don’t go if you don’t have an hour to wait for your food. Staff never put order in. When I asked on the progress of our order, the girl said she’d chrcked, walked away, and I never saw her again. Then I asked again 15 minutes later and they told me the order wasn’t actually put through in the first place. Never again. Poor organization. If any. OH and the orders came out wrong anyway!!!!

Modern atmosphere, large variety of meals to choose from. Gluten FREE available. Large open space tables aren't cluttered. Delicious food and nice staff.

Great food and atmosphere, clean, reasonably priced for the big serving sizes. Service was slow but it was super busy and they did end up sending out extra staff to take orders which was awesome. The manager showed initiative and displayed an actual care factor which was greatly appreciated.
They provide take away containers and pack up your leftovers to take home.

Italian food with generous portions and reasonable price. the tase was nice, quality ingredients but a bit too salty for my taste. even though they specialise in pizzas, other meals are quite nice. basic selection of drinks. very few but quality deserts. friendly and caring staff.

Silicians is the best food in the Wimmera. Great owners, friendly service and delicious food.

Waited 40 minutes for entree - I have also never had half a plate of lettuce in an antipasto platter before. Wait staff asked if we were finished with our bread and we advised them we will be eating that with our main. Then an hour later (1 hour and 40 minutes AFTER we had ordered) they asked if we had finished - I told them we were still waiting on our mains. After 2 staff confirmed our orders had been taken (another 10 minutes had passed) they apologised and said we can get them now for you. By this time we were completely over the experience. I understand when places are busy but they weren't that busy - half of the tables were empty.
