We can not recommend Walters Lounge highly enough! We had the 6 course degustation menu and every single course absolutely blew us away – the dishes were presented so beautifully and the flavour combinations incredible. We went back twice in our long weekend stay and both times ordered the degustation menu as there was no way we could’ve passed over any of the dishes! The chef is so talented and the wine list was exceptional – no wonder they have a Chefs Hat – and all so reasonably priced. From the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left, we were absolutely looked after – from the bartender providing wonderful chat and made fantastic cocktails, to the server ensured each and every element on the dish was explained to us (as was the accompanied wine), to the chef and owner stopping by our table for warm and welcome conversation to see how we enjoyed our meals. The only negative was that it had to end – however the peanut butter jam jar ice-cream with salted peanut brittle, giant roasted white chocolate chunks, maple shards and banana pieces certainly helped! Planning our next trip to Airlie Beach just to come back! Thanks again guys and see you soon.

Outstanding attention to detail in service. The most unique and composed dishes I have eaten in Australia. A very affordable, dynamic and interesting wine list. Bartender/owner has serious cocktail knowledge and knows how to show you a good time. We couldn't have been happier, thank you!

Walter's lounge doesn't disappoint. By far the best restaurant I've eaten at in Airlie Beach. We had the five course tasting menu and every single dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented, you can tell the chef takes pride in serving the dishes. The flavour combination was spot on. The matching wines were nice. It really did build up. The fave was the rosé with the pork dish. Also recommend their black forest espresso martini. I would make a couple of suggestions, add cherry at bottom of martini also maybe have a bread board or roll to begin or at least offer the option and either a sorbet or soup shooter to break the transition of flavours. We found that although satisfied portions could be a little bigger. Overall, a great experience.

If you're visiting or even in Airlie Beach for whatever reason, this joint is a must! The quality of food was only matched by the exceptional service. Opted for the six course menu and it was unforgettable.

My husband and I love Walter's Lounge!
The location is gorgeous, overlooking the Port of Airlie Marina. The dishes created by Rob and crew are absolutely delicious, always something new to tantalize the taste buds. Thank you Heath and Bec, your professional service and personal touches make it a sensational dining experience.

Fantastic service and the food was amazing, lots of dishes and flavours that you never see together and great atmosphere (even though it was torrential rain on and off the whole night!)

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to - based on tapas or more accurately described sharing plates - Walter's Louunge excels in its combination of flavours - an impressive wine list and staff that are a cut above - you're in Airlie Beach but this restaurant is straight out of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth!

2nd time here and all i can say is WOW!!!! the staff, service, attention to detail and best of all is the food! The chef and his team are extremely talented and passionate. You can see, smell and taste it in the lovely creations. Must place to visit in airlie. will definitely be back.
