I took my wife’s Forester here for them to service it and have a look at why the engine and cruise control lights were staying on. They came back to me and said that a couple of brake callipers and rotors need replacing, the brake pads were down to 10% and the brake switch needed replacing. They gave me a quote for around $1700 and insisted that I didn’t drive the car home. Since they didn’t have the parts and I didn’t have $1700, excluding the 400 I just parted with for the service, I had to sign a waiver saying that I knew the car is unsafe to drive and they take no responsibility, fair enough. Car gets rebooked in for a couple of weeks time. I get back there and they informed me that the quote for $1700 was for labor only and the parts were around $3400, so I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. He found no problem with the brake callipers or rotors, pads were 60%, car was safe to drive. They completely lied to me, almost cost me over 5k, got out of it for $150. I wonder how many people are getting ripped off by them and this criminal behaviour, SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
I hate the pressure they put on you to give good marks in the Feedback. Also I avoid the fellow who checks us in
If we could give Trinity service negative stars would. We've bought 2 new from here and another serviced so this is from experience.
Two week wait for a part. That's a day without a car to discover that.
Then wrong parts came in another week wait (this is not fun it's Air-conditioning issue in Cairns and getting hotter every day.)
Finally parts is in. Car is in for another day.
Pick up Friday arvo guess what, it's not fixed!!
We'll give you a Getz!!!!! Instead of your XV for the weekend with a $2000 excess fair trade?
I think not.
Incomprehensible, incompetent and ignorant treatment of customers.
Advice is to never use this service department and don't be fooled by their own veiled threats that they use on my 80+ you mother in law, as your warrenty is not void of you take it to Ultratune.
It's embarrassing buffoonery business by a wealthy FNQ company that doesn't deserve their success.
We will not be buying anymore Subies after this.
The service is fine, but I am giving a low score because when you collect your vehicle the service guys tell you to do the Survey and you must give "nothing less than a 9 or 10". Anything else is a 0. (does this make senseno). Pathetic waste of my time
fantastic service fixed a problem I had really quickly thanks soooo much
I bought a brand new WRX from this yard in October 2016 & the customer service was appalling. The manager Paul was rude & quick to dismiss me as a time waster before I bought the car. As a woman I found him to be very condescending and arrogant from the word go.
I ended up dealing with a lovely young lady by the name of Jade who saved the deal, as I had actually decided to go elsewhere given my experience with the Manager.
I then called them a few months later as I had to sell the car due to moving overseas, & when I approached Paul he was less helpful & again failed to return my phone calls on several occasions & was quick to fob me off.
I ended up selling the car by other means & had some great dealings with Irelands Used Cars & their customer service and follow up was outstanding.
The Trinity Subaru sales team are the true definition of "car salesmen", and are only after a quick buck.
I would think twice before buying a car from this yard, as there will be little service, advice or help, and certainly no follow up.
Don't get sucked in by the Harrier Extended Warranty
Excellent customer service, would buy a car from them again.
