Basically walked away with a little more money than i walked in with. Clean and well maintained venue. Easy to find. Easy to navigate.
So many bad dealers. So many bad experiences. I usually spend my money, losing all, before getting home. But even house mistakes r on my bills. It only makes me go home earlier but I won't come back often. Today is so not happier. The dealer deals when I take my $100 chip back. No warning or announcement at all. Just started to deal. N told me to put back the chip. Such a bad experience.
I suppose part of the rating is because I'm comparing it to the old casino but I really like how it has been renovated a lot of the finishes are very nice and there's a lot more variety there now in terms of restaurants and there's just always a good mix of people, you can really decide what sort of night you want to have. I've also stayed in the accommodation when a friend had got a room and I think end to end it's currently a location that offers a lot in terms of entertainment - probably the only thing missing would be cinemas. Parking is also pretty reasonable as it gets maxed out at $25 all night. We went down to the international convention centre for a show and by comparison they were looking at $38 for three hours and then increasing again from there. I've eaten at the Black restaurant and also at the Korean restaurant momofuku. Both were great and I've also had quite a bit of a takeaway in the various food areas and again the service is usually very quick and priced relatively well.
The star hotel and residences are amazing! The room is modern and clean. Service is surprisingly good - super attention to details. Great view of the harbor and Sydney skyline from the balcony. Awesome location too - easy to get around with the light rail!
Once again, Darling at the Star effortlessly trumps Sydney hotels far and wide when it comes to everything. I was welcomed so well, I felt welcome. Room service was not sent up on a tray, it was in a hot box, and then the table prepared everything where it should be and the Food - real grilled chicken breast that looks like a processed juicy nugget, but real chicken.
So much more to compliment however, you just wont understand unless you get there.
Always spoilt, Darling.
If I could give this place zero I most likely would. Having traveled to multiple casinos & hotels world wide I was appalled by the low level of customer service and the money-hungry set up of the place. So many bad situations to describe but one absolutely shocking situation was with one of the grumpy depressed dealers who probably hates life so much he took it out on us. We came to this "high life" place to get a good feed and have quality time but to be disrespected was out of the question. I don't want to go on a full rant to describe how low life this place was but I urge anyone looking for a good time is to never attend this humiliating place. Absolutely ridiculous!
The harvest buffet had a great variety of food for both children and adults. Good seating and friendly staff. Well worth the money. The chocolate fountain was a definite hit.
If you enjoy the odd poker machine it's good fun. But if you go in a group it is so much more fun. Easy on the eyes and good food, with a few great bars.
Very clean and vibrant casino. I was here for Chinese New Year and they were giving a chance to win prizes if you signed up to be a member. So I signed up and won a 2 for 1 buffet at the Harvest Buffet. Pretty good! And the desk staff were very friendly
Glorious in its splendour and affluence. Whether you're there to see a show, gamble the night away, or simply drink to morning light to evade the current lockout laws, The Star is a great place to party. Staff are generally quite friendly and helpful.
You'll definitely be leaving with a lighter wallet after a night here.
