Absolutely amazing pub. My favourite in Australia. If you want some amazing real ales brewed on site in traditional English settings and enjoy some wholesome generous food, look no further. My only criticism would be the lack of a large outside area which would help with extra room during the busy days and also a nice cool place to eat and drink.

Just stopped in for a beer. Wow, but what a beer. I will be back for more treats and atmosphere. I had the Admiral beer, it was fantastic. Everything was brewed right there so it was fresh and delicious. I would include this spot on a pub crawl for sure or if you're looking for some pub food and or drinks as a part of a good night out.

Cool decor, building and atmosphere. Can smell the brewery from across the road. Got their own beers and a Coopers (at the time) on tap. So definitely gave their beers, slightly pricey craft beer but they weren't all that great (for what I personally like though).

They don't use/sell schooners, which I found funny and also really brave because everyone's "expected" to have them so nice to see a change.

Lively pub with a variety of local brews. I tried the popular Three Sheets Australian pale ale which was very nice. It was easy to take and I like the hint of floral aroma with a balanced finish. We also tried their oysters. It was very fresh. The beef curry was also tasty. Great place to hang out in the evening.

Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel has a nice local pub where their beers are reportedly brewed using 100% natural ingredients with no added sugar or preservatives. A wide range of craft beers are available. Housed in a historical building in existence since 1805, the walls inside are made up of large blocks of sand stone, a feature of the architecture in those days.
Snacks, main meals, dessert, tea and coffee are also available. Food was tasty and beer fragrant.
A nice place to chill -out and unwind.

I really liked this place and the beer. The crowd was going strong due to some local Australian football on the tv, but good stuff.

Excellent beer and first class food in the restaurant/brasserie. The lava cake was the best example of that breed I've ever had

Beer is excellent as they serve a nice cross section of the brewery's beer. Food is good. Space is nice.

One of the oldest pubs in Australia, has a very British feel to it. A micro brewery, so it has its own beers on tap. I particularly liked Nelson's Blood, a dark beer.

Great beers on tap, three sheets being a favourite. Oldest pub in Sydney! Worth a visit.

Great pub with excellent beers, covering a pretty wide range of standard styles even with just their own brews. Goes well with some solid pub grub; decent and tasty without being overly poncy (at least the bar menu). Indoor and outdoor seating makes it good for any weather, though might get busy and short on tables if rain drives everyone inside.

Good pub food, incredibly cheap wine and booze - all great wines by the glass for less than $10, and Highland Park 12yo for $9.50! Love this pub. Old school vibe and plenty of energy.

Good service. Food order was not correct when delivered. Chicken Caesar salad was missing chicken but rectified after staff were notified.

The Lord Nelson is as good as great old fashioned Aussie pubs get. Every beer off tap is a winner and the food is sensational. One of my favourite go to pubs in Sydney that never fails to deliver. Service and staff are first class.
