Seriously how can you wait 3 hours when bleeding down your face. The Doctor and nurses are standing around in reception. Making the wait more frustrating as they seem to be doing nothing. They probably not doing nothing but it seems that way.

I was very nervous today for what is probably a simple procedure. The nurses, admins, doctors at Kilmore are angels. From the time I walked in to walking out, I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect and care. Like a warm hug 🧡 Thank you Kilmore Hospital, if I ever need another procedure or operation, I hope it will be with you, regards Linda 😘

Kilmore is great for services. They have very wonderful staff. I had burns last month,been served by Staff KATE. She had so good knowledge about skin and burns. I was very pleased and will definitely recommend all.

My review is only based on my personal experience.
I had endoscopy procedures done in the hospital today. The whole experience is positive. I waited 2 hours in waiting room. Doctors and nursing team are friendly and respectful. I highly appreciate their professionalism. I have done the same procedures at private hospitals in the past and I would say there is absolutely no difference.
I will choose this hospital again next time.

Lazy
Incompetent ER staff
They clearly don't want to be there and just have attitude and CBF.
They will just handball you to Northern so why not just go there in the 1st place and save the time.
If you think of the hospital as a carboard cutout it makes more sense.
It's as much a hospital as a milk bar is a supermarket.

The nurses (not all to be fair) in general have made my partner wait over 2 hours with a very sick baby in the waiting room, while others came in after her and were seen before her.
my own personal experiences with the nurses in emergency has usually left me feeling like a nuisance for going there when ive been ill or hurt.
overall i believe the emergency department there needs to have a major overhaul in terms of how the nurses treat sick people that go there.response / report this review -

Disgustingly rude emergency staff. The A/NUM (Sue) was nothing short of patronising, condescending and downright rude. The way she spoke to my family, passed judgement upon us and belittled my mother was nothing short of appalling. Speaking to the Emergency manager Gary will get you nowhere. He, apparently, has no problem with Sue's demeanour. Unless you're dying, go somewhere else. They'll be perfectly happy to send you to the Northern at Epping so they don't have to deal with you.

Disturbing.
After a 'screening' test came back with there is a 'possibility' of something wrong, all the Obstetrician wanted to talk about was termination (a 5-10 minute technical conversation with my partner, and how it is better sooner rather than later, as if I wasn't even in the room). His words before he launched into this spiel were 'well there is something wrong'.
(If he had known his stuff he would have stated that I had a 15% chance of having a foetus with a significant genetic abnormality, 15% chance of having a foetus with a heart problem and 70% chance the foetus was perfectly healthy, but he incorrectly interpreted the 'screening' test and looked at my age to make his heart breaking assumptions and said it without any consideration for my feelings).
The hospital never opened a file for me as with all the other expectant mums, they only got a counsellor to contact me (a shoulder to cry on).
After 'diagnostic' tests at the Womens' revealed nothing was wrong, I recontacted them over half way through my pregnancy and several weeks later, and I think they were most surprised I was still pregnant. I insisted on being transferred to the Northern and not to continue at Kilmore Hospital.
However, I had to have a post pregnancy examination with a midwife at Kilmore, and when stating I still had pain she said 'I don't know anything about that' and didn't get a doctor. With a Doctor at the Northern previously also putting it down to normal pregnancy pain, and being now a 24hr mum I didn't have time to think about it further. Unfortunately it worsened significantly (to now gangrenous acute cholecystitis) and I needed emergency surgery (at a different hospital).
Again, they didn't bother coming around to our home to weigh and check on the baby shortly after returning from hospital, as they were supposed to have done (as arranged by the Northern). If they had done this they would have found that she was loosing weight because of feeding issues, fortunately I booked an appointment with an expert as I worked out that something wasn't right, but they should have identified this earlier. 'Very busy' apparently (though funny enough it was at the time they weren't allowing births at the hospital due to construction works!) and too busy for care it seems.
After a very shaky start I now have a very healthy 13 month old. She is smart, cute and tall, and I couldn't be prouder.
I am very glad I didn't listen the Kilmore Obstetrician and stood my ground for my unborn baby's life.
I don't recommend their service, and would recommend getting a second opinion 'immediately' if you do have to go here. If you are pregnant, check on the live birth rates at hospitals, as there are a few identified whereby the rate isn't acceptable. Avoid any Obstetrician who big-notes themselves about being one of the people to allow late pregnancy terminations (as he implied this is what I needed if I didn't do it quickly - hopefully no woman has taken note of what he has to say), is ignorant about genetics or heart problems of fetuses and the the use of screening tests.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, my mother-in-law (mid 60s) went there over an Easter break, and apart from nearly being accused of being a junky because she had a load of injection marks on her belly (she has that many medical problems), she was told to come back when the ultrasound people were open (four days later). Her condition worsened, and she ended up needing even more care, instead she should have been referred to a hospital which was open for business for immediate treatment.response / report this review -
