The Hawthorne Hotel has/is a sports bar, they have food specials and trivia nights. They also have good food to a good price, nice staff and a good atmosphere. I like it.

Nice and cozy place. Cheap ass drinks during the happy hours everyday from 4-7. Great welcoming staff. I go there all the time and never get tired of hanging out at the same place again and again. It's just the vibe I guess.

Friendly staff, reasonable priced beers and cider on tap and delicious food from the kitchen. The only disappointment is the choice of music, it's too loud and too full on to have a talk and the mix is lazily thrown together.

One of the better places for students to get food in the area. Prices are good. Only critique is everytime i go the steaks/ parmas are different sizes. Sometimes big sometimes small, would rather big all the time. But foods great otherwise.

Nice counter meals and fun trivia night on a Monday. A bit chilly and barn like. Would have been a lovely old pub once. But really to meet friends and have few relaxed drinks in a casual environment its great

The location is great, but that is about it. Service is good, but food is slow especially if they are busy. It's expensive considering its main customers are the student crowd. I wouldn't go here if there were other options unless it was to watch the AFL grand final, that is worth going for because it is outside on the big screen.

For the Moment to Moment's Pub Theatre event, I found their space very accommodating for the stage and audience to enjoy the entertainment with drinks and meals available. What cost this venue a fifth star was the noise from live music from other areas that interrupted the ideal theatre experience.
