Popped in without a referral because the restaurant appeared busier than others in Hardware Lane. Today is Sunday however; maybe it's different on weekdays. Anyway that method of choosing worked and we had a really enjoyable meal. There was nothing special about our selections but everything was made to a high standard and delicious. And reasonable!

We were lured in by complimentary drinks. Food was nice, service was good, but we were very disappointed with the wine. Being an Italian restaurant I would have expected the wine to be of high quality. We got cheap wine insanely marked up in price. If they could change their wine choices they'd be on a winner!!

Food: From reading some of the other reviews, I think I made a lucky choice when visiting Grill Steak Seafood. I had the lamb shanks and they were beautiful. Two huge pieces of lamb, which just fell off the bone in a flavoursome rich sauce.
Atmosphere/service: Both were fine, the restaurant decor was pleasant, it seems a little newer than some other nearby restaurants. Service was efficient.
Would I recommend it: My lamb shanks were beautiful and actually very good value for the size, so from my personal experience, yes. However, having seen some of the other meals which were brought out, all meals are not that generous, and look a little overpriced.response / report this review -

Salmon and mashed, salmon was wonderful, mashed stone cold. Could not get a servers attention although they were at less than 20% capacity. Servers were more interested in bring in the next customer than those they had before them, that and joking between themselves. Felt like a tourist trap more than an established restaurant. Chef said it was my fault I waited too long to bring this to their attention, strike two, and that message took over 10 minutes to be brought back. I'll keep looking for a great place on Hardware Lane, this is clearly not one of the despite the location.

Just an amazing night out with the best service in town and the best company. Main course - low cooked shanks is my choice of a Sunday night meal!! Meat ball as a starter what a choice - just yummy,

Came here for breakfast around midday with three other people. Food was served quickly and the portion was quite generous, as well as tasty. Our coffee was given to us for free which was a nice bonus.
