Beautiful rooms at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly however we had to take our luggage to the room ourselves.

Really beautiful place with old charm and friendly service. We spent a weekend away from Sydney where we celebrated our engagement. Lovely garden where we had our brekky and swimming pool to use on a hot day! Great!

Loved staying here. The grounds and building are so well kept, old fashioned and beautiful. Staff were outstanding, warm welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was terrific. Great location close to all the main winery area and resteraunts.

We had an excellent stay at the convent hotel. The staff there are excellent. The buffet breakfast was very good and the rooms where great. My wife, baby and myself had an excellent 2 night stay

I have stayed at this property in the past and it was delightful, so expectations for the next 2 night escape were positive. Unfortunately we came back to earth with a thud.
Arrived no greeting or assistance at the door (Ok its not the Park Hyatt I get it) I was greeted by a live cockroach on the floor in front of reception, then we learnt that we 2 rooms booked 1 deluxe and 1 standard but through different booking sites -expedia and booking.com, that really just not true, the hotel had called to ensure a deposit for deluxe room but failed to checked if we wanted 2 rooms and ask for the details of the other guests (there are no other guests & we didn't want the other room)
We were shown to the deluxe room which is nicely appointed only to find significant dirt, dust, lint, etc on both the sumptuous lounges along with a very noticeable stain - definite evidence of another couple having a good time (Gordon Ramsay would have been pleased).
The gardens, building and decor are very nice and set a grand expectation but unfortunately the attention to detail in basic cleaning, hygiene and pictures hanging in a desheveled manner on the wall let the property down.

The rooms are well appointed (for the style), the service is excellent, and the views are magnificent. Our experience was made much better by our cellar door experience at Pepper Tree, but the opulent and well put together stylings inside the convent stole our hearts immediately. We will endeavour to come back again!
