My very first time visiting mount gamier and was not disappointed! This hotel was amazing, staff, food, room service! I couldn't of asked for a better hotel, felt more like a resort. Highly would recommend!!

The steak was disappointing, it was okay but I think the chief went way overboard with the seasoning, it was so salty, cooked well just so salty. Service was good. Great place for meal, everyone I talk too love it out there, just I must been unlucky, last three times there the steak was over cooked or way too salty. Side dishes and desert where great.

Stayed here for work and it was a great week. Deluxe room was huge and well appointed. Well cleaned throughout and has a massive window looking out over the English gardens. Room service dinners were amazing, try the prosciutto wrapped chicken breast! Breakfast was good too with choice of continental buffet or cooked to order hot breakfasts. Would highly recommend staying here over the other motels in town, well worth the short drive!

Situated a little outside Mt Gambier on a beautiful and tranquil property. The room is a typical hotel/motel size, with a fresh paint job and the usual amenities. Noise from the hot water service and shower was very noticeable. Check in and check out was quick and easy.

Stayed here overnight while I toured Mt. Gambier. Check in was smooth with very professional and courteous staff. Room was basic but cozy and well appointed. Water taps made a rattling, whining noise. A bit disappointed that there was no free bottled water. Check out time (10 am) was too early.

Room needed a little attention, stained curtains and damaged door. Rooms not as private as photos suggest, continual people walking past back door so have to keep curtains shut. Pretty busy, 4 car spaces but 5 rooms so had to park in another section. Service decent, comfy beds. Good but expected a little more considering the price and location isn't prime.

We found the Barn restaurant very disappointing. The person who greeted us and showed us to our table obviously didn't want to be there and we had to request something to put under the table leg to stabilize the table. The medium-rare steak was medium-RAW and the curried prawns seemed to be overcooked budget frozen food packet prawns. Very disappointing.
The one shining light was our waitress. She was brilliant.

Stayed in December room was nice and tidy and supplied with clean towels. The water smelt like it came from a bog/ ocean and was greenish. Staff member at the desk during check in was blunt about the services and there was no follow up on the complaint about the water. We didn't feel comfortable drinking from the taps after smelling the shower run.

So beautiful, relaxing, the gardens are so scented, well as for the staff at the restaurant we could not fault them, so dedicated to their work, greet you with a smile, and let me say that the food is very tasty, guess what, can't fault that, the steak.. wow!!! something that makes your mouth water, so to management, and all the staff at the BARN. A BIG THANK YOU🐃
