This restaurant would have to be Cairns best. The quality of food and attention to detail is spot on. I would highly recommend dining here.

Went to The Tamarind tonight and we had the degustation menu with matching wines. An amazing selection of tastes and our favorite was the tuna followed by the salmon. We were fortunate to have an amazing waitress Viginie who knew so much about the food and wines. Thanks especially to Wayne for his hospitality.

Went there for an all-too-rare dinner without children and it was simply fantastic from beginning to end. The window tables just look out over the street, but the restaurant is beautifully appointed. The tables are quite close, but laid out so it didn't really feel like it.
The food was spectacular - we had the Pork belly and the duck curry and the the chocolate and the caramel for dessert. Can't recommend highly enough.response / report this review -

Incredible food. Great wine selection. Went for the 7 course taster menu, not often I'd spend this much money on food ($110) but it was worth every cent. Excellent service excellent venue. Amazing experience
