We went last week and had an amazing dinner. Everything had a vegetarian option which was great. We got the fiesta for two and the blue lagoon Pancho villa which went down lovely. Plus the customer service is excellent. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Melbourne by far.

I love me some Mexican. There’s nothing I like more than a good taco BUT! I came with my friend a few days ago.. ordered 2 mains and a nachos to share as an entree. All the food was bought out together. We asked why and we were told that we need to say if we wanted the nachos as an entree otherwise they automatically come out together. What’s the point of a starters/entree menu if it’s all at once. And how am I meant to eat so much food without it going cold. The team took the mains back but not before all the servers came over and made me feel really uncomfortable as if I were making a scene. I’m small I can only eat so much at a time!

Been a few times. Went last Friday around 6pm. The staff were super helpful and efficient. Enjoyed the fishbowl lemon margarita and food. Food was turned around quickly and was lovely, hot and delicious.

Had a very pleasant evening. Sat in the lovely outdoor dining section, and staff offered to turn on the heaters for us once the sun set. Efficient and friendly servers. The owner even came to have a quick chat with us, which was very nice. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Complimentary salsa and corn chips, which can either be had as an entree or eaten alongside the main. Had some good halal options (fish, vegetarian, vegan). Would've been nice to have another meat option as well. The fish tacos were amazing, a definite win!

The ambiance was adequate, in contrast to surrounding restaurants it is refreshingly quiet, like an island of solitude in a raging sea, you can almost hear the sea breeze gently rolling by.
The wait staff were attentive and quick to tend to the table, I suppose a man of my importance attracts this sort of attentive service, perhaps they have heard of me, perhaps they could tell I was indeed a substantial food critic, I didn't ask for this, but who am I to reject such a leading role in the critic community.
The food was quickly brought to the table, never in a taco bill have I had my food arrive before I have finished the corn chips at the table! Certainly speedy service, the food was within the standard of a taco bill restaurant and further to this they finallu listened when I asked for guacamole on the side! This is rarely done for me and I dislike Guacamole so it can quickly ruin that lettuce when it is piled on top.
Whilst I was seated I saw the staff quickly accomodate a wheel chair customer without any fuss, to add to this no customer stood at the counter without being spoken to immediately, whatever previous reviews have caused this establishment its 3 star rating are either old or nit picking and biased. It is far above a 3 star rating in every aspect.
My last note would be the decor, which is neat, cute and gives a sense of culture while remaining contemporary at the same time. The tequila bar has to be a favourite and gain it marks for that tequila shotgun alone! The hot sauces and condiments adorned upon the kitchen separating wall are a great sight and use of space, truly a nice place to be and see while one enjoys the Mexican cuisine.response / report this review
