  4 years ago this place was lovely..now with new owners the whole place has turn to crap. Golf course is no longer & the complex looks neglected..may actually be closed & occupied by owners.

  What on Earth happened to this place? We are having our wedding in Alexandra and thought the website looked great and would be a perfect place for our guests to stay. We drove through the gates today and I'm still in shock. Has it closed down? It's almost looking abandoned. I'd heard it had new owners who had let it go but it looks absolutely disgraceful. Almost as thought it was the end of the world and it was left! Do not stay here!

  Not impressed at all. I got a voucher for winery tours and a nights stay at Stonelea Country Estate for my parents. I have just picked them up and heard how disgraceful it was. They had bugs in their room and the door handle fell off so they needed to be changed to a new room. One guy had shit on his pillow. The food was so disgusting that most of the tour complained. Some even had food poisoning this morning. The place was dirty and was not upto standard. I would recommend that department of health go through this place before allowing others to attend

  This place was lovely. The gardens and surroundings were just beautiful. Breakfast was also great! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Great day spa (loved my massage!), friendly staff and so relaxing!
  Only one issue, there was a party of 30 or 40 people that came up on the Saturday night and therefore breakfast wasn't served to your table and was just a buffet and there was kids and people everywhere! I didn't mind too much but really would have liked it if they let us know.
  All in all, a great weekend despite the weather not allowing us to play the tennis and croquet. Would love to have another weekend getaway here!
