Fantastic service, setting & food. The fish and chips & calamari special of the day were fresh, locally sourced and delicious. The calamari was Innovative with a great fusion of fresh ingredients & flavours. Highly recommend.!! We'll definite revisit when we next holiday in Melbourne.
Great place for a sunset stroll. Penguins can be seen at sunset. Gets very crowded with tourists at that time so expect little visibility. A few local bars beside it for food and drinks. Remember not to take photos of the penguins with a flash on, it damages there eyesight 🙂
Love coming down here for a sunset and watching the ships leave the docks. The penguins are awesome and recent development is really helping protect the little guys
Great place to visit on a lazy, go for a run, or a combination of that like I did. Lots of clean facilities. Also a good way to see Melbourne's own Little Penguins in their natural habitat.
Amazing view from this pier at Sunset. I am going to add to the photos as the colours over the water as the sun goes down are beautiful. So glad that I got to enjoy a romantic walk down this pier with my gorgeous partner at this time of day. We didn't see any penguins, there were too many people around. Probably making too much noise.
One of the best piers.. Has a great view from the pier.. Cool breez is expected, so wear warm clothing..
A must see the wide view & feel the wind of the open seas! Good wind jacket is recommended.
Beautiful place to take the kids. Especially as it was free, and not insanely crowded. Lovely night out.
Great place for a sunset walk to visit the penguins. Fairly busy. Lots of people fish here. Great Melbourne views.
Loved the penguins! Didn't need to go to Phillip Island. Lots of volunteers to talk to
A great place to talk a walk down if you're in St Kilda and the weather is nice! There's a cafe/restaurant at the end which is a lovely spot for a snack/lunch and there are also resident penguins at the very end, which if you're lucky you may spot!
An iconic place to visit in Melbourne. Who says you have to go to Phillip Island to see penguins?! Such a pretty spot too, especially at night, with lovely views of the city skyline.
Lovely walk, well kept with plenty of room for fishing and other activities. Breakwater at the end of the pier has a lovely view of the boat dockings and the city and is home to little penguins which come in from the water every night from 8:30pm to about 10pm. Conservationalists patrol and encourage the public to look after and respect the penguins. A lovely walk, but can be a bit cold and windy so rug up!
It's lovely here on a hot summer evening, but it's the penguins we really go there for.
And please please please don't touch the penguins or use flash photography, or you may scare these little guys away and never see them again.
Iconic pier with a new Marina, breakwater and restaurant. Go here around sunset to watch the fairy penguins return to their nesting place. But please keep your distance and no flash photography
