Dark, unventilated room, uncomfortable beds and dark, uninviting bathrooms. Service was friendly and booking price was cheap. Overall "OK".

As a long term guest(pest) of the motel the service from all staff members was top notch you could not ask for better people to be involved in the business .
I would highly recommend staying at the St Georges motor inn to anyone

Best Motel to Stay in Thornbury and the owner is also very polite and friendly.Rooms are very clean and comfortable.Will always recommend to family and friends.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and all round comfy. Tram stop just over the road so you can go into the city without driving. Will stay again

Booked a room but then circumstances did not really need it but I stay there anyway . I was told I was booked into the large room. With a spa which made little difference to me . The matteress was like a lump of concrete . Bed linen was blankets and sheets . Does anyone still have blankets and sheets on the own bed ??? The are so many reasonably priced matteress around a crusty old inner spring matteress was very disappointing considering this . No I will not be back .

My husband and I booked and paid for our room for one night.
Purchased a bottle of wine, a packet of chips and a packet of mint slices.(which were 2 months of date)
We were given 2 wine glasses.
As went got up the stairs and walked down the hall my husband started sneezing, we opened the door walked into the room sat down on the couch placed the empty wine glasses on the bench.
My husbands throught became itchy and his eyes were watering.he was obviously allergic to something.
It was obvious to us that we could not stay there,we were in the room for ten minutes or so.
We picked up our things and went down stairs leaving the clean and empty wine glasses on the bench.
My husband spoke to the manager and he informed us that the owner is the only one who can refund us, and he will give us a call the following wednesday.
3 weeks had gone by but no contact.
I called today and the manager has told us that the owner will not refund us because the whole room had to be re- cleaned and because we had left the wine glasses there he assumed we had used them..
I questioned the manager about why the owner had not contacted meI was told that I was rude and he hung up on me.
All we want is a refund for something that we did not use, you probably should do the right thing, nobody wants to stay somewhere where there is no consideration for unforeseen circumstances.Especially health matters.

Clean rooms at good price. Also tram stops outside motel so it's easy to go to the city.

Lovely service from the moment i walked in the door. Large clean room, though a bit dated. Off road parking is fantastic. Tram stop right outside the door to take you straight into the city.
