    1. The concreter laid the slab in the wrong place. Luckily for them it was approved by council. The lack of communication between the salesman (Kevin) and the concreter and the failure of the concreter to check a simple council build plan before starting construction was the cause of this error.

    2. The installer would have put the glass sliding door in upside down if I hadn't pulled him up on it for correction. Shedmart informed me that they had their 'Best Installer' on the job.

Make sure to thoroughly check their work and rectify any issues before handing over the final balance of payment and letting these people leave site permanently as their after sales service is very poor. Some examples are

    1. Broken/unsecured locks on doors and loose fittings just left by the installer after supposed completion of the job. The glass sliding door was left so loose that just opening it almost pulled it completely off the mounting and the PA door lock was just left broken and unusable.

    2. Gaps in the vermin proofing large enough for a mouse to easily gain access due to misaligned wall panels and failure of the installer to quality control check his own work.

    3. Security screen door left un-adjusted so simply sliding it open made it fall straight off its mounting.

    4. Drainage downpipes left unsealed causing massive leakage and water pooling around the base of each pipe.

Emails get ignored and once they have your money, every excuse as to why they haven't returned to fix the smallest of issues will be given.

I found the attitude of the installer (Andrew) to be less than satisfactory also. Some examples would be

    1. Not having the decency to knock on someone's door before you start work at their property to let them know you are here and discuss the days plan. He just ripped down some temporary fencing I had installed around the shed overnight which caused my dog to get loose and it took me 3 hours to track him down. No apology was given.

    2. When I questioned some of his shoddy workmanship I was met with "No you don't need that" or "Not our problem". After insisting that these issues be rectified I returned inside and I could hear cursing and bad language coming from the Installer.

    3. I had some damage to the concrete from falling tools where he had failed to put down a cover to protect the concrete while working on the roof. Lots of rubbish/screws/sharp metal off cuts left on my lawn by both the installer and the concreter. They prefer to fill your bins rather than take their rubbish with them.

Shed dumped in my drive way for two months before installation, arguing concreters (Larry and Son from Maitham PTY LTD trading as BLL Concrete Contractors) that I suspect helped themselves to items from our carport without asking along with poor communication and after sales service. The small driveway laid by the Larry in front of our shed has no drain so every time it rains our shed floods. When I asked the concreter to fix this issue I was told that it was not their problem and that I was a 'knit picker'. Upon advising Larry that I would consider legal action I was abused and threatened with violence on my own property. This guy isn't even Australian. Don't give your business to foreigners!

When Eddie and Andrew eventually came back to fix some issues (after 6 months) they once again failed to even knock on my door and pulled my fencing down and walked around my back yard like they owned the place. After paying $30,000 for a garage (double what I was originally quoted) I was told I was too fussy and confronted by Eddie with aggression and abusive language. Still left with leaking windows and a broken door lock. Eddie and Andrew are not Australian either. Don't give your hard earned money to foreigners!

Dealing with Shedmart is like pulling teeth. A small job of 4 x 6 shed has taken them 6 months and still not completed. However payment is of high importance. Completion date keeps getting moved, and excuses after excuses. Unless you call them, they will not call you. Consideration was given to all the bad weather we had. I would stay from this Company as far away as possible for our future needs. This is annoying and waste of time,

I won't ever use Shedmart again or recommend them. Slow, disrespectful and lack of workmanship.

Initial dealings with Shedmart were good. I chose them as I normally prefer supporting local businesses. Setting up the colours, wall and roof profiles and generating a quote went smoothly. This was Late 2020 (10/12/2020). Once I signed the contract and initial money was paid (15/12/2020), the service and communication dropped off somewhat, I was told my shed would be up early in 2021. I was understanding that the shed parts and council certificates maybe somewhat delayed due to the Christmas break.

In the new year I waited a long time for the concretes to come (March by this stage- still no sign of the actual shed parts either) and lay the slab, the slab was of adequate quality, however, the concreters swore and argued all day which my neighbors were unhappy about (they have children at home during the day). They also left concrete on the grass and road, cigarette butts all around the jobsite, which I had to pick up. Additionally, they took upon themselves to take the metal from the old carport to the metal recyclers for cash without asking.

Finally the shed parts arrived on the 24th of March and I thought the shed would be erected soon. But sadly the parts sat on the grass near the footpath until the 11th of May (48 days), when the build finally begun.

The shed was erected quite well but the site cleanup and attention to detail was very substandard. I picked up over 60 screws, metal swarf and cut tin from around the jobsite (which included my kids play area). Some of which found there way into car tyres that needed repair. Some of the parts left out for 48 days were covered in dirt which was not wiped off before installing and the downpipes were not installed very securely. When inspecting the shed I also found all the roller door seals were split (possibly from sitting outside for 48 days upside down) I notified Shedmart about all these issues and stated it was best to contact me via email or text. I got an email back demanding I call someone.

Eduardo and Frank visited site, Eduardo was very good at seeing my frustration while Frank must have thought I wanted to hear excuses.

Eduardo came and fixed the issues (2nd of July), communicated well and did good quality work with minimal fuss.

It took over 6 months to complete a 6mx6m shed. I put the house up for rent soon after so was able to enjoy the new shed for 2 months, and it did what it should do and was water tight and seems to be built sufficiently (time will tell). I purchased another property and will choose someone else for the carport and shed here.

Overall, Eduardo does a good job, the others I dealt with at Shedmart are good at demanding your money or making excuses or simply lack an attention to detail in their workmanship.

Great experience! With the benefit of Steve Muir’s product knowledge, industry experience and understanding of the building approval process, we have a carport that is suited to our needs and compliments our house.
The entire Shedmart chain was a pleasure to deal with: Steve’s customer service (before, during and after) was refreshing; their admin team was easy to deal with and efficient; Eddy and Frank’s planning and the great care taken in delivering and storing the product on site did not go unnoticed; and Chris the installer’s attention to detail, skills and polite nature made him a joy to have around.
