Asked for some bread before our meal and fell off my chair when received bill to find it cost me $14 for 6 slices of bread. Ordered the gluten free pizza, base was not fully cooked. Restaurant doesn't allow for left overs to be taken home so there is a food wastage issue here. Drink took 20mins to come so I cancelled it. Disappointed, won't be coming back.

First visit to Shadowfax and definitely not the last. Went for a birthday lunch and really enjoyed it. Food, wine, atmosphere and service were all very good. Especially enjoyed the wine tasting before our meal.

Attended recently for a set menu lunch with girlfriends I rang ahead & requested a meal option to cater for my dietary requirements.
On the day after no less than 3 attempts by waiting staff, my meal never came, I wasn't charged, but very disappointing nonetheless.
There was also some live music with was terribly loud & made it impossible to even hear the person next to me.
Nice setting & venue though & everyone else's meals looked lovely.

Enjoyed the wine tasting before settling down to a beautiful lunch outdoors complimented by lovely wines. Fantastic venue, great food and atmosphere. Shadowfax provides a comfortable and open place to dine. Also as it is located on the grounds of the Werribee Mansion, it's great to take a stroll through the gardens to walk off the lovely lunch Also has walking access to the Victorian Rose Garden. Certainly worth a visit when you're going through Werribee next.
