Incredible food, service and atmosphere. Public holiday surcharge is unavoidable otherwise priced very well for what we got. Will visit again

Was okayish.. not value for money tho. My schnitzel should have had bacon but they gave me ham. The chip were smashed with salt, and the milk shake lacked flavour..

Went for lunch on the Monday before Melbourne Cup Tuesday. Took a seat, but no signage displayed showed that we needed to collect menus from the counter. Once my party of 3 ordered, we waited for our meals and coffee. We asked the waitress for our dirty table to be wiped, and were told she would get to us when she could, as they were short staffed. The meals arrived before the coffees. One cappuccino with more chocolate on the top than I've ever seen, one latte that was half foam, and a very flat sparkling water in a glass. The waitress apologises that they were short staffed, but the place was half empty, so I didn't quite understand why we needed to wait so long for our drinks (with one being water). The meals were even less appealing: a New York burger missing its pickles, a club sandwich with its filling all over the plate and a Texan pork sandwich. My burger was missing its pickles, and when I told this to the waiter, I was told to talk to the lady at the counter. So I went to the counter and told her I had no pickles in my burger. I have never seen a bigger eye roll in my life. She said she was just front of house, so she didn't know about the menu. I went back to my table, expecting to have my burger taken back to the kitchen, instead, a small bowl of sliced pickles was bought to my table for me to rebuild my own burger. The member of my party who ordered the club sandwich pulled the skewer out, only to find half a broken skewer hidden under his sandwich. The waitress apologised that they had a new chef.
Not only were the meals dissapointing, the service was deplorable. They were unknowlegeable about their own menu and unwilling to serve or help.response / report this review
