We had our roof painted several years ago by another company without incident until the extreme weather and torrential rains early in 2022. After many days of rain we began to experience leaking in our ceiling in a few places. We called Re-Kote and Terry O’Brien the business owner attended our home as soon as he had availability and inspected our roof. He could have quoted us anything as we were desperate to repair our roof before further damage was caused. However, to his credit he told us the problem was caused by the previous company spraypainting over the roof weep holes which, in turn was preventing excess water to escape. He quoted what we thought was very reasonable to drill out the weep holes and repair any ridge cap cracking.
We were grateful for Terry’s honesty, accepted the quote and went on his waiting list as he had a back log of work due to the prior bad weather. Last week I got a call to say he’d had a couple of jobs delayed and could fit us in that day as there was predicted torrential rain coming. He apologised for the short notice but we were grateful for his foresight.
His team of two young tradesmen arrived as stated, spent almost 3hrs working on our roof, and were polite and friendly. The rain which was forecast began two days later and we received in the vicinity of 450mm in 4 days.
I’m so relieved to say we appear to have had no further leaks since Re-Kote completed the repairs. Terry was easy to deal with, was not out to rip us off and Kirra in admin kept us informed at all times of what was happening. Highly recommend this company based on our experience.

We had a young guy from Rekote come and look at our roof, he was great, said I'll take the pics back to the office to get a quote for restoring and doing a new roof.

This is where Rekote gets 1 star.

We had the money ready to pay for a roof to be restored/redone as we were getting water damage into the house. We waited for a week and a half and never heard anything, so we started calling them every second day for 2 weeks. Everytime we called the poor receptionist kept pushing the matter to whoever it is that quotes and would let us know we would have the quote by the end of the day or the next day. This happened 5 times until she eventually gave us Terry's mobile number as she hasn't been able to get him to quote us. As she is telling me this, I can hear Terry in the background yelling that he is just gonna quote us to fully redo the roof, not repair it. At this point we needed our roof done so badly we would have paid anything, so we still wanted the quote.

I called Terry's mobile and he angrily answered and spoke to me until I told him my address, then he changed his tone and promised me a quote from him by the end of the day.

Never received that quote. We eventually got a different company to do it.

Im sure their quality of work is good, but we wouldn't know and had a horrible experience with them

Our roof was in desperate need of some TLC and we had some water leaks. We rung around but were most impressed with Re-Kote's quick organisation for an appointment and quote. They fixed the leaks, re sprayed the roof and we now have a brand new looking roof without the expense of replacing it.

I had terry and the team replace my existing roof tiles with Boral Terracotta Shingles. From the day that Terry came out and gave me a quote I knew that Rekote was the company that I was going to go with. Terry was up front and honest about the options available to me and whether or not I should try to repair the existing roof or just replace it with a new roof. The new roof tiles were installed within 2 days. No mess was left at all which I really appreciated as well. All in all the whole experience was a pleasant one and I have no hesitation in recommending Rekote Roofing to any of my friends in the future. Again Terry thanks for the fantastic job.

I arranged for someone from Re-Kote to organise a quote for some storm damage and additional roof restoration for my retired mother the week before last, which I booked in and organised over the phone for her.

On the day, my mother stayed home for the requested time window of a few hours and not only did no one come, but no one answered the phone when she called the business and no one (either on that day or any subsequent day) ever called her back.

She's now getting her roof fully restored through another (reliable) business and I'd strongly recommend having nothing to do with this unprofessional mob.
