Great place to stay even if you're not a golf fan. Rooms are clean and modern. Service is very good as well. Aircon on both floors and under cover parking outside the room was very handy given the poor weather at the time of stay. Will definitely be going back.

Worried too much about the looks and not enough about it being comfortable

Not so bad. Good retirement where it has its own value.

Nice enough place if you plan to only stay a couple of nights and not use the kitchen to cook anything more than bacon and eggs. Well actually just bacon or an egg as you won't be able to fit both in the frying pan.
I stayed here for a couple of weeks. I found the reception staff and cleaners to be very polite and friendly. The apartment on the other hand was not really up to standard. I'll start with the kitchen as this was the main reason we stayed here, for the "fully equipped kitchen". Small frying pan that could barely cook for two let alone a family of four. Cheap and nasty pots that somehow managed to burn by just boiling water. A beautiful oven but not a single oven dish or tray in sight. No basics like potato peelers or a grater (which I ended up buying from Coles and left there).
Moving onto the lounge and the small very uncomfortable 2 seater couch, even a couple of $5 pillows from kmart would have made it more comfortable. I spent my evenings laying on the floor as it was more comfortable and there wasn't actually enough space to seat 4 people. Then there was the TV, the smallest TV I have ever seen in a hotel /apartment. But the size didn't really matter too much in the end because we lost reception so much we gave up watching it.
Onto a not so restful nights sleep on the very large main bed (bonus points), shame about the hard zipper running down the middle of the bed. Only made the mistake of rolling onto it once, no more cuddles in the night with my partner. Now I can understand it's two single beds joined together, I have experienced this set up before but usually there is some sort of buffer between the zipper and my back. Luckily I managed to obtain a pillow that was not like a bag of cement (as most were) or I would be requiring a chiro.
The bathrooms were quite nice, unless you have children. The 2nd bathroom has a bathtub but the taps are glued shut so you have to awkwardly run the shower to fill the bath (and get wet in trying to do so). But bathe your children quickly because the plug leaks.
Speaking of children this place is really not suitable for small children (or elderly). The stairs are steep and all the toilets are upstairs. Apparently there is some downstairs toilets in some of the apartments but you have to specify you want one of those before booking (how would you know if you've never been there before).
One aspect I thought was amazing was the laundry, great washer and dryer. A nice addition would be a broom as sometimes the dustpan didn't cut it.
I gave this place 3 stars only because the staff were so nice. Everything else about the apartment screams "as cheap as possible". It seemed like an afterthought with no quality. Stay a couple of nights and I think you'll be fine but any longer and the shortcomings become glaringly obvious.

A well appointed apartment that actually looked like the pictures! Friendly staff at reception made check in a breeze before accompanying you to the unit to ensure the electronic keys worked and that the unit was to our satisfaction. Spacious bedroom and living area meant that it feels more like a home than a hotel. Having a kitchen and meal table made life easy with a little one and the team were happy to arrange a child safety gate to keep the stairs from being an issue. Great location for Melbourne Ballpark events with full shopping amenities close by.

Very pretty and beautiful surroundings. The apartment had everything we needed. The facilities nearby where more than adequate. A local shopping centre nearby helped. Good stay overall.
