  Most disappointed. I had broken a ceiling light cover, and as I’d bought it here some years ago I took a snapshot using my iPod of the model number etc and came here to replace it. First the salesman disappeared into the back room (with my iPod) for 10 minutes, then when he came back he said they didn’t sell that model anymore but that they could order the part in, taking around a week or so. I said I didn’t need that exact part, only something similar to fit the base; could they look up the size and sell me something same size, as they had a large number of similar looking units on display. He said they couldn’t look up the model number on the internet to find out the size, and anyway they didn’t have covers for separate sale, just whole fittings. I said I’m happy to buy a whole unit and just chuck away the un-needed base, and this guy then said “we can’t sell you just the back piece, we can only sell you the whole unit.” So this is the point I realised how smart the person I was dealing with, and walked out. In any event I went up the road to the familiar builders supplies warehouse chain, used their in-store wi-fi to look up the size of the cover I wanted, and bought a light fitting for a fraction of the cost (and similar enough to the original it must be from the same factory anyway). I don’t think I’ll bother with Project Lighting again.

  The staff were very helpful, the layout of the store very good, and the range also very good. Parking is right outside the door.
