Absolutely brilliant day. The animals are all looked after to the highest degree. The staff seem to love what the are doing. My daughter arranged a tour in the zoo buggies for us what a fantastic idea. The gentleman that took us has such a passion for the zoo and its animals he is a credit to the zoo.
Great zoo, we loved the shady paths. Great features and lots of animals. The playground is pretty small but okay. A cool spot is the nocturnal house with all the australian animals.
Best Zoo I've ever been to. Clean, well maintained and lots of attractions. Tip for Zoo goers - go early in the morning. Most animals are in the shades resting from 12 to 4PM, so you won't see much. Bring snacks and lunches with you. You can always refill your water bottles from the many water coolers around the zoo.
Perth zoo would have to one of the best in the world. My daughters live it so much that it is hard to get them to leave. It is a fantastic family day out that won't cost you the earth.
A great place but it's usually too expensive for a normal family, so it's consistently eerily quiet and too boring for the docents and the visitors; hence its important messages and lessons get negligible circulation. The five days each year when the prices become reasonable however are uncomfortably crowded and noisy, so the messages and lessons get drowned out. Given all the state money it receives, Western Australians deserve to enjoy this ivory tower regularly but can't until the price gets justifiable or the memberships add a concession price.
An excellent and well maintained Zoo! 🦁 The animal enclosures are in good condition and the animals themselves seem content.🐦 The overall ground is large so there is a bit of walking. 🌲🌲There are snacks and drinks available but the price of these are expectedly high. 💰Overall a really fun and family friendly experience 🐨
We LOVE the zoo. The animals look happy and relaxed, so we are determined to be supporters of the zoo too. They must be doing something right! Great place for picnic too. 🙌
Compering to other countries I would say Perth zoo is more of a park, with beautiful big trees, lots of palms and other tropical flora. If you lucky, you may see some animals..They have such a sheltered housing, that allows them to hide completely, leaving visitors to learn the plates with pictures rather than the habitants )
To make sure that you will see something, check the shedule and visit zoo at the time of feeding or special shows.
What is good about this zoo, is that animals feel good and safe there, I suppose
Who doesn't like animals?! When you can see them. Which is why this place only gets 4 stars. There is a lot to see but a lot you can't. We walked every path and stopped at every exhibit and it took us about 3 hours.
A well laid out zoo, with a variety of animals from all over the world. You can tell the enclosures are kept clean but because this Zoo is in downtown some of the enclosures we're not as large as I would have liked to have seen (the bear enclosure). Well organized, well presented, warm staff and a great variety of animals.
Beautiful zoo with a fantastic range of animals. The walking paths are well shaded with an easy to follow layout to all of the differnt animal sections. Well worth the price of admission as you can easily spend all day here.
Staff are friendly and informative.
Lovely place to come frequently. Membership definitely worth it. Kids has lots to do, not only see and learn about the animals, but also a nice playground too, a place to eat and shop.
Thoroughly enjoyed going to the zoo for my nephews first birthday. Was great to see all the animals. My favourite was being so close to a Rhino and getting to watch him get fed
Great zoo with heaps of animals from around the globe. Cool, shady walking paths contribute to the pleasure of strolling around the various sections. The animals look well taken care of and happy. The highlights for me were the rhinos 🦏, the tigers 🐅, the Galapagos tortoises 🐢, and the koalas🐨. There are also a lot of snakes 🐍 and lizards 🦎 that you can learn about, some snakes are really huge! I have dreamt snakes for two nights after visiting the zoo. The elephants 🐘 are as adorable as they could be and the zoo staff is very friendly and helpful.
This rates as one of my favorite Zoo's. The animals seem happy and well cared for. A lot of thought has been given to create stimulating and comfortable enclosures for each type of animal. Very easy to follow the complementary map through the beautiful grounds with plenty of opportunity to rest and refresh or for kids to play on the provided facilities.
