An iconic local pub and performance venue. There is plenty of pub grub to choose from that is better than most pub-grub.

If you have a gig coming up here it's time to get excited because you're up for a tight and intimate bandroom with easy viewing from almost all of the venue, easy access too bars and usually great vibes out the back and in the more traditional pub setting in front.
Beers on tap are usually decent, getting in and out of the venue is drama free, just check ahead for parking if you're driving in.response / report this review -

The food was really tasty however the filling aspect of a lunch was not up to the mark. Good staff. Leave a bit of extra time as the serving time could take a bit long.

Hadn't been here in a while and was pleasantly surprised and reminded of how good this pub is, not pretentious, staff and security were absolutely lovely, good vibe in there, nice beers, heaps of seating, and of course alternative bands that reminded me of an Indie film. Was a lovely afternoon, thank you to the staff especially the lady who came and cleaned up our accidentally smashed glass and was so good about it. It's official, this pub rocks.

Came here to sample the $15 lunch.
Overall, the experience was OK. The burger I ordered was tasty enough, the beer went down well and the lunch accomplished the mission of satisfying my hunger. Bonus points for offering gluten free options too.
That being said, there was a slight mix up with the order and the bun was dry given it wasn't toasted. Compared to other places offering similar specials, it's in the middle of the pack.

Surprisingly good
Tuesday Trivia Night, I wasn't too sure on what to expect on the venue, food and drinks.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the trivia, food and especially the $6 house wines, they are marvelous for what they are charging - even cheaper than beers.
Modern and tastefully renovated, the undercover back area is very casual, laid back and definitely a comfortable area to dine please consider others, note to those smokers.

It's fine. Nice without being excessively upperclassington, and the back stage area sounds huge. I hear they had a problem with paying staff properly but I heard they stopped being jerks about that after getting called out. I hope so. The staff seem pretty with it and worth paying properly.

Visited during the afternoon when everything was fairly subdued. Bar staff were friendly enough, prices were average. They have MB on tap which makes a change from the invasion of pretentious boutique beers. Nice big windows facing the main road make this place good for people watching.
