Was unhappy with changing fee's from booking to paying, sign at office saying no efpos sending you down the road to ATM until wait no we have one now? Full size cabin but can only have two adults stay in each. Felt very unwelcome and like an inconvenience.
What a truly awful night was had by all. Could have been lovely if the owners weren't so rude, confrontational and controlling. No welcome what so ever, just a nasty reception. Contious harrasment by female park owner. No customer service skills at all, very unfriendly. Friends we were with have been going there for years and will never go back again. Standard park fees were altered several times and not consistant with quoted prices.
Stayed at this place for friends birthday, only to have a shocking start to celebrations with continual rude service and harassment from the park owner.
Within 15mins of arriving, 5 different friends suffered rude confrontations.
My friend who's wife made all the arrangements, was asked to attend the office by this owner. To be greated with rude questions about who kids were and why was there more people. The owner also demanded different fees to what was arranged and charged the same site fees for swag as powered caravan sites.
Some of the friends attending had being going to this park for many years, and said now they will never return.
Our friends that stayed in a swag and another in a tent, were not even provided a key for the amenities block.
Great little park
Nice little park.
After spending 8 nights here I would say it is well worth the trouble going there. They don't put up with any nonsense. Onto it straight away if you don't like the rules of the park you don't belong.
Going back again later in the year
We stayed as a group over the Queens B'day long weekend. This is one of those great caravan parks without the constraint and regimented order of bigger more expensive parks. Very accommodating hosts - even had Jackie approach us on our last day and mention that there was no rush to leave ! We loved the way we could arrange our caravans in a semi circle and enjoy our campfire. The work that Mick has done on the camp kitchens is awesome. Thanks for the welcome and down-to-earth way you run your park.
We have been camping at Neerim South Caravan Park for 6 years. During this time I would have agreed with the first post under the previous owner it was a dodgy place with some dodgy permanents. We went for the views and the atmosphere. Well things have changed it has become better than any BIG 4 we have stayed at we now find ourselves booking in throughout winter just because we miss Mick and Jacky they are the most hospitable lovely couple would do anything to help you. Prime example friends had the winder on their Camper break when we arrived for a long weekend Mick went straight to work got us some lengths of timber and with his help we were able to prop up the roof for the weekend and were still able to stay and enjoy our weekend. Nothing is too much trouble. Thanks Jacky for going out in pouring rain to search for my daughters teddy which we found at home. Everyone has a great time. Huge improvements in removing the trees behind the playground. The camping area under the camp kitchen is awesome mick has recently improved the driveway down into it and now they have stairs down to it too and there are more improvements underway. My only concern is guys your going to get to popular and we wont be able to get a booking. Awesome 4 wheel drive tracks 5 minutes drive. This is the best place on earth. Well done Mick and Jacky keep up the great job you are doing you should be proud of yourselves.
New owners are super friendly. Amenities are very clean. The two camp kitchens have more atmosphere and rustic charm than any of the boring Big 4 style ones. Open fires that are freely stocked with wood. Never busy. Dogs allowed. Pool table, darts, free heated pool in town (4km drive)
Go stay there for at least a weekend. You wont regret it
