When we arrived 12 am midnight, there was no one at the front desk. We have to knock on the office door to get the staff out. He did not explain a word about why he was hiding inside. No apologies either.

When we finished check in and approached the lift, the staff asked us to get back to the front desk to do something to our room cards. I guess he might have misdone something a minute ago. Again, no explanation, no apologies.

The room had no slippers. I called the reception three times and no one picked up. I finally reached a staff on the operator line, who told me they don't provide slippers. Fine.

Very rude service, and the room is poorly equipped in all perspectives. The lobby stinks.

Disgusting, stinky room. Lumpy, smelly carpet. Blocked toilet. Black marks all over the walls, itching in bed all night.
Awful air quality in the room.
Dont know why they are saying they have updated the air con. It ISNT updated.
    Not worth $161 per night.
Weren't even given an upgrade after toilet was blocked in our room.
Rooms smell as if they were smoking rooms. Just disgusting would rather stay at a motel.

Stayed in the place paid for parking but couldn’t get a car spot downstairs. The room was very dated and had a funky smell in the entire hotel. Aircon system is rubbish! Your better off bringing your own fan from home to keep cool. Great view of the car park only positive thing I can say was the comfortable bed And the friendly staff.👎👎👎

I wish i could give this zero stars. What a nightmare of a place to stay. The service is slow, the rooms stink and are very dated, the fitness centre is not a fitness centre it is extremely dated with worn out machines, the water in there is a bottle reused from the tap, we were woken at 5am two mornings in a row by the faulty fire alarm. Highly recommend do not stay here. We have cancelled our next week booking and will stay elsewhere. Shocking hotel.

Great location close to station, gallery and Little Malop Street. Great views of the bay and You Yang's.

Good hotel, included parking was great. Excellent service, bed was comfortable, soft pillows. View from back room wasn't good, front rooms would have a great view of the bay, but might be noisier.

Staff are not helpfull and I suggest you check what the bar charge you when you paywave. I was charged full price for beer during happy hour and they wouldn't refund me.

Good job they're doing it up. Very old & decrepit building, house keeping certainly need to lift their game. But the saving grace was the friendly staff!

Good things first really friendly and helpful staff. Place is cleaned well and in a really good location. Not so great things were needs some maintenance done but nothing more than little bit of paint, putty and TLC. Next time I am in Geelong I'd definitely look to stay here again.

Room was good. We dined at the restaurant. Food was good. We mentioned that it was quite cool in the dining room but were told they couldn't do anything. We both put on jumpers and coats but it continued to get ridiculously cold. Not a pleasant dining experience. Breakfast was ok

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights last week and I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent service I received. From the reception staff to the manager to the general manager, the degree of professionalism that was displayed in supporting me to deal with a difficult matter of a personal nature was exemplary and far exceeded my expectations. Thank you.

Very very dated, cleanliness is a big issue, tv barely worked and when it did it had lines all through it. Room was stifling hot and the air con didn't do much to help it. Finding out at checkout that we had to pay nearly $19 for parking at the hotel!!!!! Feeling absolutely ripped off. 4 star hotel? more like a solid 2. I'll never stay here again with my family and I'll definitely make sure to spread the word.

This hotel is looking a little old but it's ultimately fine. The service is good, the rooms are nice and the services are there. The pool and spa are a nice addition. I was there on a particularly hot day and they had free Zooper Doopers at the main entrance which was nice. It's located a little out of town but definitely not too far to walk down to the foreshore.

I was not very impressed at all. Cleanliness was fare from clean. Bed sheets were not changed Daily. Buffet breakfast was fare from nice. My sister in lows room was not even cleaned when called to tell them reception didn't even want to clean it.
I Would never stay hear again.
