  Arrived Medowie Rest Area near Port Stephens just after noon, had some lunch, read a bit of my book & at 3.35pm RANGER who pulled up right behind me tells me if i now try and get some rest by sleeping in my poptop thats camping & FINES apply, so move on as soon as i'm rested. (Rested, but no sleeping in your van). VERY unfriendly. My grey nomad friends have said under 24 hours is usually not a problem most rest areas. Not so here. Packing up to go at 4pm.

  Average typical rest stop. Glad I was there for not even 5mins to use the toilets had a creepy guy standing near my car staring at me as I was walking back to the car! Couldn't get outta there quick enough!!! Haha.

  Was going to stay overnight. Super close to some busy roads. Making a lot of noise when trucks go by. Couldn't sleep. Moved elsewhere.

  Nothing special, stopped there to spend my night in the car before heading to Sydney. Toilets are all right
