Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Fantastic food. The waiters however were a bit unsure of how to accommodate us since we walked in with a baby in a pram. We were made to feel slightly uncomfortable. But their fantastic food made it all worthwhile.
Excellent establishment. The front of house staff, were attentive & engaging. The quality of the food across the table of five was fantastic & well timed. Great atmosphere - will definitely be back on next Canberra trip.
Sunday Brunch with a group of 8. Ended up in a little alcove room which was great as we had a baby with us. Service was quick and friendly, coffee was good though nothing exciting. Food was top notch, the brekky burger was well balanced and tasty, while the donut French toast was insanely rich. Highly recommended
Service was good and timely, though a bit cold. Atmosphere was urban cool with a great fitout. Excellent presentation on food. Entree: lamb dumplings were very good but mains: risotto and steak were bland. A bit disappointing for the money.
I've eaten brunch and dinner before and it's been good.
Blah. Very blah.
Staff where very unfriendly and verging on rude.
Food was mediocre. Service was questionable, no tea spoon for the tea, no water for the table.
Don't understand at all why it was on the top ten cafes for Canberra. If this is top ten for Canberra than ouch!
Staff need to be briefed on service with a smile. Customer service is key when food isn't exceptional.
We dined early on a Friday night and the restaurant was quite busy. Service was good but the food was the star of the show. We had the cheeseburger and the Reuben and both were top notch. We were sitting near the kitchen and everything that came out looked delicious. The space is super cool and has a great vibe. Would definitely come back next time we're in Canberra.
Excellent food. Wonderful service. All the waitresses and waiters were so friendly
Thank you for a great night 😊
They have recently undergone renovations and what I would say was a cafe is now a fancy restaurant. I was very impressed with the service and the atmosphere inside was lovely. Food was delicious! I will definitely be going back here and recommending it to others.
This will be Canberra's new bench mark in restaurants and night life. Socrates has chosen his location in Kingston carefully, and it has paid in spades.
His attention to detail and bringing a New York style restaurant to Canberra is an absolute coup.
This will be the new place to be seen.
The decor is superb and the staff are professional and extremely courteous. From the moment you enter to when you leave the whole experience is fantastic.
The food is superb and the oysters are spectacular. I had the Sashimi plate as a starter which was out of this world for freshness and flavour. The head chef has done his homework and he delivers the goods on every taste and texture.
Oysters and seafood are delivered daily .
For mains I had had the eye fillet, it melted in the mouth and the truffle sauce as a side complimented the meal to a tee.
The wine and spirits list is extensive but not over the top. The choices are fantastic and even the most hard nosed wine connoisseur will be in seventh heaven.
I can highly recommend Jones and Co as a place to eat and to drink, you will not be disappointed.
Get down for the oyster hour during the week. This will be real winner on those warm Canberra nights, sipping a cool drink and in fantastic company
