  Our favourite fish and chip shop in Bendigo. They always have vegie burgers. Grilled fish wasn't the best this time but usually good. Chips are spot on. Souvlaki tasty.

  We have always ordered through McIvor Rd but lately it's hit and miss. Our last 3 orders were only luke warm and very soggy. Our kids used to beg for fish and chips for dinner but now winge when they know it's on the way. We occasionally get home delivery and they now beg for Subway, KFC or Eagle pizza because they are sick of bad soggy food from McIvor Rd

  Went to the park with the family to enjoy fish & chips from McIvor Rd, very disappointing, initially poor communication, some of the fish & potato cakes were inedible & binned, chips average leaving family of 5 hungry. Expect variations in quality from different businesses but to be served food that is inedible is unacceptable.

  Worst flake I've ever had tonight 17.1.2023. Fish was Dry and the Batter was hard and not with a soft crunch. Potato cake had minimal potato in it and it was mostly just hard batter. They've definitely dropped the ball as they used to be really good with the food. If you're going to charge premium prices then step up to the plate.amd give the public decent food.

  Potato cake review: a slightly dense and claggy batter which makes me think these are not made in house by the shop. The potato to batter ratio is good, with a slim to moderate cut of potato.
  
  The batter seems to crisp up well when fried so not a bad time overall.
  
  No comments about the oil freshness as there was not enough evidence to confirm if fresh or old.
  
  I would eat these again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t drive an additional distance for these specifically.

  This place has the greatest chips in Bendigo! They are perfectly crunchy and golden you can’t stop eating them! There is often a long wait if you order at dinner time, but worth it!

  My order was to be picked up at a certain time, but was obviously cooked a lot earlier. $35 later picked up cold over cooked food, soggy burger, and for the price I paid, it's not good enough.
  Not happy at all.

  Great chips but ordered a cheese hamburger meant to have double bacon but none at all, pay 9 for two meat and two cheese not happy at all
