Our first meal to have on our first night and last night in January was amazing. So when we returned in mid November we couldn't wait to have our first dinner at the Tavern again. The chicken schnitzels are sooo juicy, crumbly crispy crumb, very large and delicious, my husband had the Mexican Parma and its his favorite Parma of all time. Generous amount of toppings on the Parma the chips are sooo delectably delicious and so different from your normal chips, the salad is simply but the dressing really lifts it. The atmosphere is lively and they get very busy. Make sure that you get there early if you want a meal and a table as they get really busy. Great customer service, very friendly staff. Recommended.

Great spot to chill in the evening excellent view of the harbour with cheap food and decent beer. Early arrival required to get decent seating, staff friendly and kids welcome. Don’t feed the birds..

Decent selection of food options, and was much easier to drop in here without a reservation, versus most of the other restaurants around the area.

I enjoyed a delicious lunch overlooking the gorgeous Hamilton marina as part of my Cruise Whitsundays trip. The portions are large, the staff friendly and the food fantastic.

The marina tavern has the best meals going for the island. The food never let us down first up had a mexican parma was the best hit so much so we went back several times during the course of over stay. Others in party had all types of food and believe there was no complaints. Very casual place over looking the marina. Sitting up on the bar style tables was the best. Meals are served all day at any time, which works well for people on holidays as time doesnt matter. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially the older man that cleans the tables. He was awesome. You have to watch out for those cockies as they have a tendency to steal you food. Which was quite funny as they are very cheeky.
Very good value for money. Give it a go. Trust me me you will return again and again.

Our family of five be had lunch and ordered a variety of dishes, all quite big portions and reasonable prices.
Taste was generally fine, not spicy, chips were very good and crisp.
Bar was nice and has good tap beer at reasonable prices as well.
Highly recommended.

Had the chicken schnitzel, while a generous meal and pleasantly presented; you can't look past the brown colour of the crumbs, 5 shades darker than they should be. Burnt and dry, with an unpleasant tasting gravy. Family member had the garden salad with salt and pepper calamari and found it slightly warm, as did the others who had "fresh" salads. With the recent information about salmonella in bagged greens, the way these meals were prepared was not safe for consumption; as the garden salad the family member consumed made them feel queasy, and later in the middle of the night, be sick terribly. Food poisoning was a definite.
Concerned tourist.
