Great location, easy access to the beach. Lots of things to do while we were there. The staff were more than helpful. The rooms were pretty good, although a little rough around the edges with multiple key cards not working. And small things broken around the room. All and all a great place that I would totally stay at again.

Great place to stay for short stays in Lorne. Central location on the foreshore with extensive lawn area for sporting activities including tennis and lawn bowls. Conference facilities with private rooms and a garden bar to relax at the end of the day. Restaurant has decent steak and pasta menus. Service is excellent.

We were in a heritage room . It was well presented but the bath/shower arrangement is terrible. I wonder whether it actually reaches health and safety regulations. The cleaners were not very good. We left our towels on the racks. Not only did we get clean ones everyday but the used ones weren't removed. The rubbish bin was not emptied during our stay.

Stayed here for a work event. Very nice venue and facilities. Lorne is beautiful, the beach is a short walk away. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Mantra Lorne is in a fantastic location central to every restaurant, shop, beach and parks. The resort room we stayed in is as expected, however some rough edges in terms of room maintenance and dusty corners and vents were evident. Activities fun, but in need of repair, for example, the life like chess pieces.

Service was good. Food was certainly good enough to not need to go elsewhere if staying at mantra. Kids eat free makes for great value.

We paid 700$ for two night. Bed wasn’t made, blanket had stains, spiders were dead on the windows, spider webs on the walls, sink in bathroom wasn’t clean. Shower head didn’t stay up when using it. On day two, neither of our keys worked to get into the room. While we were waiting for it to be fixed, we met another couple who said “don’t get us started!” When we were talking to them about what our experience was like.

Breanna, Bernadette & Stephanie & their team were fantastic in assisting in organising our team building event for 40 people! It was an enormous task but they were there every step of the way & it was truly appreciated! Thank you so much to all at Mantra Lorne, we're so very happy to recommend you all to anyone & everyone! Such a gorgeous place!!!

Stayed in an apartment for two nights with a good view of the grounds and background view of the sea. Very close to shops and beach. Apartment is nice and roomy. Buffet breakfast is good, but got there a bit late (9:30) and the food was almost gone. Guess that's fair enough to avoid waste though as I think it finishes up at 10.

Great 3 night stay here in mid April 2017, ground floor resort room, spacious and well appointed, however would definitely upgrade to an apartment and request a higher floor. On site parking is perfect. Lost a star for two things, the buffet breakfast needs work and, the ashtrays at the entrance to buildings are vile with people congregating and the smoke making the foyers stale.

My Wife and I stayed here for the easter long weekend for three nights, on check in we were not told of any problems with the room. When we got to the room there were old fashioned oil heaters in the room, which I didn't think much of at the time. As the night cooled down we tried to turn on the climate control and it didn't work.

Calling reception they stated there was someone working on it outside the building and it will be fixed shortly. A later call said they will bring someone in tomorrow. The next day I followed up to see how the repairs were going and reception said they would get someone out that day.

That night when i followed up they said they were not able to get someone out and would try again tomorrow. On the final day, i enquired again for an update and they said they could not get someone out yesterday or tonight and we would need to have another cold night.

My issue is that they clearly knew there was a problem, would not admit the issue on check in and were not honest with us throughout the process resulting in me constantly having to call to get the status. Having paid over $400 per night I expect so much more respect.

The apartment also had a toilet that had to have the buttons pushed and jiggled to stop it continuously running and the blinds were damaged and would not shut properly.

I mentioned these issues finally on check out so they could fix it for future guests and I had the distinct impression they didn't really care.

Be careful staying here as their lack of attention to maintenance and honest can really destroy your stay.

    Stayed April 2017

    Pros
    - Clean modern look
    - Bath/Shower soap/shampoo are of good quality and smell great
    - Beds, sofas and chairs very comfortable
    - DVD, VCR and audio (not blutooth) stereo system provided and functional
    - Air conditioning/Heater units functional and easy to use
    - Tennis court tidy, not old and well maintained, equipment for free hire also of decent excellence
    - Very close to the beach entrance, however fully blocked for privacy and temperature separation
    - Reception is very pleasant and comfortable to just chill at and provides cool soft drink (Original Lift last time I checked) and sweets usually (or maybe only on special days/events)
    - Staff are cool peeps
    - Non disturbing cockatoos and ducks around for an even more natural environment

    Cons
    - In-room bath spa not functional
    - Wardrobe and cupboard handles are of a stupid design and provide no place to grip in order to open the door
    - Multiple power points were broken
    - Height of the overhead shelves were at a threatening level; as in, it was at the height of the head of an average human
    - Dedicated parking may be far away from the room
    - Pool is semi-small and so may be crowded at peak times/seasons
    - Does not provide enough pots/pans for cooking

    Great location.
Warm summer night spent with the balcony door open and fell asleep to the sound and sight of the ocean. Super private due to surrounding trees.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Local area has a lot to offer.

Stayed in an ocean view apartment for one night. Great views from the second floor and easy walk into the beach. Apartment was clean and spacious - the bed was very comfortable. There was a huge array of delicious food at the buffet breakfast. Staff were courteous and friendly. I'd highly recommended staying here next time I'm visiting Lorne.
