Beautiful area and venue
Quality! Lovely venue. Superb food.
Lovely food and of course wine. Lovely views
I 100% agree with Ben! Avoid this place at all costs! Customer service is absolutely terrible! You pay a premium price for absolutely nothing! Nice view but that's about it. From the beginning the lady Antonia who serviced us didn't even know who we where out of the 4 rooms they have. Left the desk at 5:00 to go home before we could ask for a bottle opener to open our wine when we called Thomas he said he would get a hold of Anotiona to see if she could accomodate, apparently couldn't promise anything. No where did it state that the restaurant would be closed during the New Years period, when addressed it to Thomas he said he had no idea what the restaurant was like mid week. Luckily we where'nt planing on eating here. He never got back to us about the bottle opener and we had to drive and buy one as no one was on site. Due to our dietary requirements (lactose and gluten intolerant) we where given stale gluten free bread and apparently gluten free Muslie (definitely not gluten free- which contained oats). Wifi does not even work and when we came down to talk to thomoas at 4:15 he had already left within the 5 minutes we asked 'do you have wifi' which he said yes! Bed was not made, plates where not replaced, wine glasses still dirty, towels old and not replaced. When called to ask about wifi and towels I was ignored, he did not answer his phone. I've stayed in many hotels all around the world and have never had an experience this bad. I've also never known anywhere to need pest control so bad. If you survive the spiders you're doing well. Please do not spend your money on this place. Red Hill has a number of accommodation outlets that will serve you far better than this place.
Avoid at all costs, the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. Rooms smell of Body Odour, wine is terrible, a stale croissant for the "included" breakfast. With so many fantastic places on the peninsula don't worry about this place.
Beautiful scenic winery, loved the decor and setting, gorgeous property and wine was unique, boutique-ish and divine.
However, I organised for tasting platters for 13 people and we were given one board of calamari and one board of polenta chips and some bread. I didn't think this was adequate considering they charged $195 for this and we bought five bottles of wine, which should have refunded the tasting fees.
Additionally, the tasting was short and poorly organised as my guests did not know it had begun and half missed out on tastings altogether, the staff also gave a tasting of a wine and refused to tell me what the wine was called or where it was from, merely stating it was a Pinot Gris.
The staff was rude, and told me that my guests were upsetting by smoking on the terrace, even though he provided an ash tray there when they asked if it was okay.
I'm sure this is a lovely cellar door and perhaps it was an 'off' day or they are not used to such large bookings, but my guests and I felt unwelcome, which is a shame as its setting is so pleasant.
This B&B was amazing, and this is coming from a very choosy hotel guest. The every single staff member was so friendly and attentive, and made every effort to make our stay perfect. One day there was no wood for the fire we informed them. The wood was there in 30 min, the staff apologized and gave us a bottle of wine. The beds are very comfortable, bathrooms as new with nice hot showers. This place is clean and homely. We can’t wait to go back in the near future
