Was admitted there 24 August 2016,had heart attack, copd, pneumonia, fluid on lungs, chest infection, was flown by chopper, and the staff we're absolutely on the ball, was put into icelation and couldn't ask for better service, was in there for 6 days, everyone was great looked after me as if I real important. Thnx for taking gud care of me. Many regards.

I was admitted during the cyclone with appendicitis and within a few hours I had been operated on. Great service from the Ambulance to everyone involved subsequently. Top surgeon with very good treatment by all concerned from then on. Good followup put in place as well on discharge. Well done Mackay Base. Rod Ballard.

Went in for a teeth cleaning, they did a horrendous job on my teeth and I left with pain in my mouth and my teeth feeling dirtier than ever. The dental care in Australia is a joke. Now I need to have a tooth done because when they were "cleaning" my teeth, they actually scaled them and broke one of my back teeth. God knows how long I'll need to wait for them to be able to fit me in.

As for the Hospital as a main unit, what a joke, my son was in there for months on end after a nearly year long wait for evaluation. Every single time we went in had a different doctor, no continuity of care and his mental health issues are only getting worse as he gets older with zero help from the hospital. Guess they don't care about Australians at all.
