Well done Macchiato. We booked a table for Melbourne cup day. The  food and service was exquisite. We were well looked after by friendly professional staff. Nishan who provided us with really good service, the atmosphere was awesomeThere was a large TV located in the restaurant so everyone could watch the Melbourne Cup from each table. Highly recommended

Wood fire pizzas and pastas are absolutely delicious!! Servicing sizes are also generous, The restaurant is really cozy and has good service. Their expresso martini was so good because of the coffee they used!! Great experience. First time trying Italian. Would definitely go back again.

It is one of the best Italian places in Sydney. What is better than food is the staff. Rakan has a big smile is on his face every single time when he talks to you. Nadir is also so kind and helpful.
They seem to be enjoying their job and it means they have a good management.
I have never regretting going there and bringing my friends.
Menu gives you a lot of options. The place is clean and food is delicious.
    I strongly recommend this place.
    No worries 😊⭐

Fantastic Resteraunt! It was clean and very relaxing. The part that impressed me the most was our server Rakan. He was incredibly courteous, polite and professional. He was kind and playful to my five year old and brought him out a little goodie bag. I even watched him help a gentleman take his coat off. I cannot express how impressed I was by Rakan. The food was fantastic. I wish I could have brought home everything on the menu. I will definitely be returning!

    Shot of espresso: $3
    Scoop of Ice Cream $3
Affagato (comes as a shot of espresso and scoop of ice cream): $9
Not worth an extra three bucks to put the two together. However, it tasted legendary.
One of the better places on Pitt St.

A great find near our accommodation for our family holiday. We went to Macchiato's three times: firstly for coffee and dessert - the lemon meringue was fresh and the flavours well balanced. The second time was for the pizza - yummy! We tried the seafood and cappriciosa. Too much for one sitting, I enjoyed the leftovers later! The third time was to try the homemade pasta - delicious! I tried the slow cooked lamb and my wife had the spinach ravioli, whilst our son had penne with meatballs and tomato sauce. All very fresh, served hot!
The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional.
The live band each night, with music that was family friendly was a distinct bonus.
A great warm interior and the constant buzz of people enjoying good food, wine and company made for a very pleasant experience.
    Thanks Macchiato!

A better then Dominos pizza place. Not as good as you'll get in Italy but as good as it gets for Australia.

    Staff are very good

I use to roast coffee and have a fair bit of experience in the food industry.
This is great coffee, really great!
There are many things that must be done to produce coffee this well and this place is doing it right!
5 stars and 2 thumbs up for their coffee, well done! 👌👏👏👏👏👏

Pretty ordinary experience. I ordered a medium-rare steak and received a well-done steak at first; but Macchiato were happy to make me a fresh one cooked correctly. The flavour and quality of the meal was fine, but nothing I couldn't make at home myself (and I'm not a particularly great cook).

For the price, I'm not in any rush to go back. I've heard that their wood-fired pizzas are good Perhaps they should just stick to those.

For casual coffee and cake excellent coffee, fresh lemon meringue pie, friendly and helpful service. There are plenty of tables and it was easy to find a table towards the back to linger and talk without pressure towards the end of lunchtime. Lots of happy diners.

Was delicious food but very slack service. Waited for a long time for drinks or food but was hearty and enjoyable when it came. Servers didn't offer fresh pepper or any condiments which would have made the meal much more enjoyable.

Service was a bit slow initially and I attribute this to the holidays, it picked up. Like everything in Sydney the food is overpriced but the pizzas, although small, were okay. Normal sized pizza and better service would have made 5 stars.

Busy Italian place in the CBD with good pizzas and delicious beef cheeks. If you're coming for dinner you definitely need a booking as the place gets packed out. For ordering they have a small but decent wine list and for food stick with the pizzas you can't go wrong. Service was good but when it's busy the servers are run off their feet and orders can take a bit longer. Worth a try if you're in the mood for pizza and in the area
