The food was absolutely fantastic, and the staff were wonderful. The food is fresh, tasty, came out quickly and is presented beautifully.
Seeing as we just came in because it was close to where we were staying, we were extremely impressed by Lake Charlotte.
And this is all before the amazing scenery that the restaurant loos out over.
Definitely worth a visit!!!

On a glorious autumn day in March this year (2016), my wife and I celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with a lunch at Lake Charlotte Winery and Restaurant in the delightful company of over 40 close friends and family.
The cosy restaurant lies at the end of a countrified corrugated track that wanders past a verdant vineyard down to the edge of the placid eponymous lake, filled for the day by the fortuitous deluge two days before.
Favourable reviews and intrigue with the mysterious "Hot Rocks" menu had drawn us to Lake Charlotte for the occasion, and we have no regrets. The "set menu" offered a choice of 3 main meals introduced with antipasto platters for each table featuring a gourmet mini loaf, King Prawns and a variety of Mediterranean-style appetisers. A small selection of desserts completed the "set". This was not just a meal; it was an experience, and met with unanimous approval from the guests. A small note of caution, though: the volcanic rock is fearsomely hot and causes some spitting should you choose the ocean trout, as my wife and I did. Wear a napkin to preserve your top from the spatter.

I have enjoyed a few memorable meals at Lake Charlotte. Not only is it a beautiful drive from Perth, but the food and views and ambience when you get there, make it more than worth while. All credit to the vision of the owners/staff.
